From Adagio Custom Blends

created by Meg Daunting

Light and smooth flavored with a touch of vanilla, there is definitely something Celestial about this blend! The gunpower adds a hint of hunter earthiness that makes this ship blend into an excellent cupful.

snowbud, gunpowder, vanilla oolong

I was hesitant to get this because there are three totally different types of tea (white, green, AND oolong!) but I was all “ooooh, slightly smokey vanilla? gimme!”

When I first opened the bag I was met with a very pleasant vanilla… but it was all lost :(
I don’t feel like I have the palette to describe what’s going on here in my cup, but it definitely has a more pronounced smokey flavor. Where’s the vanilla? soooooo, I added sugar, mwuahahaha. I like it better, but still, it’s no surprise this is at the back of my cupboard.

I think next time I will go for a shorter steep time, instead of the recommended 3minutes.

Thank you Cavocorax for the share. I believe I have had this before and I like it more than I thought I would but I don’t know if it effectively captures Dean and Castiel. It’s a little smokey so that covers the hunter vibe but there isn’t a ton more going on in the cup. Mostly is smooth and sweet but doesn’t really have a strong flavor of any of the three types of tea. I’m not really sure what to make of it.

so confession time. i DID enjoy adagio’s vanilla oolong when i was in the chicago store. Just not enough to buy any. This is another form cavocorax and it’s a much better blend. I think non black fan blends do it for me more than black fan blends. I like this sort of smokey, vanilla thing it’s got going on…but of course it makes me want to try it with something like mandala’s wilver buds + vanilla and then maybe a little cacao? haha i need to write ideas down… on the whole…not a bad cup but nothing i need to repeat! :) thanks cavo!

Final Count: 141 after a partial add to my cupboard…this will go up tomorrow!

The name of this tea kind of hurts my brain.

Confession: I bought this tea PURELY bc of the name (and the pairing). And snowbud sounded angelic and delicate, which is about as tenuous as the relationship implied. (Why do angels have gender anyway. HARRUMPH)
