One of the teas I picked up while on vacation! I do have such a soft spot for a rose black tea, and the addition of almond flavouring to emulate marzipan was an interesting but gentle enough twist on that profile that it caught my attention.
This was very smooth and expectedly floral. Super rosy in that front half of the sip but without tasting perfumey. The almond cuts in midway through and adds a gentle but I think somewhat needed bit of natural sweetness. Not quite as sweet as a marzipan in my opinion, but distinct and pastry like in some ways. There was a buttery note that made me think almond cookies or even specifically shortbread.
I liked this a lot!
