Another Coffee and Tea Festival aquisition, this time a sample from the goodie bag. I love Jasmine tea, so I was pleased to see it in there!

This tea brewed up to have an orangey-yellow liquor, and a lovely jasmine smell. Unfortunately the jasmine flavor is not as strong in the drink itself, though it gets better as it cools slightly. My baseline comparison for jasmine teas is an unlabeled jasmine green I brought back from China 5 years ago, and it’s still overwhelmingly pungently jasmine when brewed. I enjoyed this cup, but I think I’d search elsewhere if I needed to replenish my jasmine tea stash.

This is a fine jasmine tea; light and not bitter. I’ve got a decent amount of jasmine tea already, but this would be an excellent one to have on hand for one of my favorite summer drinks: a pitcher of hot-brewed jasmine iced tea with limeade.

As Jasmine teas go, this was pretty much middle of the road. It had a nice Jasmine scent to it, but the taste was rather lacking. It’s good in a pinch, but I’ve had other Jasmine teas that far surpassed this one.

Although this has a little bitterness, it’s just enough to round out the flavor and no more. The jasmine isn’t particularly strong, but so what? To me this is a good green tea with just a touch of jasmine, and I’ll happily drink it when I’m looking for something simple and warm.
