From Chado Tee

Sencha Kire is a delicate, grassy and tangy sencha from Kagoshima prefecture, South-Japan. Before the harvest, the leaves are shaded for 21 days to emphasize the sweetness, light body and delicate nature of the tea – making it a gyokuro style tea, being however a simpler and less pricey version, we decided to not call it thus. Made from popular Yabukita varietal that was developed from an indigenous wild variety of the tea plant growing in Shizuoka.
