Genmaicha is a traditional Japanese favorite. This exotic Matcha iri genmaicha consists of Sencha blended with roasted premium Japanese brown rice and Matcha(see our ratio at the left) . Matcha complements flavor of germancha. The taste is pleasant with a hint of nutty roasted rice and a mild aftertaste. The genmaicha with expensive Matcha powder gives rich green color and depth in taste.
Matcha iri Genmaicha is perfect with meals, warm conversation or quiet contemplation; especially popular during cold winter time. Genmaicha is sometimes referred to as “popcorn tea” because a few grains of the rice pop during the roasting process and resemble popcorn. We also offer Genmaicha (without Matcha); adding Matcha to Genmaicha makes the taste little mild and gives rich color to the tea Traditional Genmaicha didn’t contain Matcha so that Matcha iri Genmaicha can be a modern way of enjoying traditional Genmaicha.
