From Capital Tea Ltd.

Premium 2019
Beautifully made, even, wiry leaves full of golden tips. Harvested in early spring, these leaves produce a very smooth and flavourful tea liquor with a medium to full body and possessing complex notes of biscuit, spice and dark chocolate

Sipdown (1469)!

This was my first mug of tea for the day, steeped Western style. I think this sample is from VariaTEA although that might have originated with Sil – so thank you to whomever was involved in sharing it!

It’s not a particularly exciting black tea, but it’s really smooth and solid. Definitely thicker bodied with coating sweet notes of dark chocolate/cocoa powder, freshly baked bread, malt, and just a tiny bit of like a “buckwheat honey” drizzled within those more warming patisserie flavours. A very good “daily drinker” type candidate.

Sipdown (291)

Thank you Sil for this one as well. Grabbed a cup and the rest is off to Roswell Strange.

You wrote this was boring and I can sort of see it. I actually think it has slightly more flavour than the other Capital Tea I had today that you shared. A touch more malt and maybe a bit of chocolate and bready notes. Smooth and mild. Another everyday absentminded drinking sort of tea.

Sil

they were both boring lol

Sipdown! While this tea hasn’t been all that exciting, it was a good every day sort of tea. I don’t think i’d pick it up again unless i needed to hit free shipping thresholds or something like that. It’s just sort of mild, smooth….“boring” lol
