First time I’ve tried this since buying it during the close of Butiki madness. I have 2 words to describe this tea (which I added some liquid stevia to, since I like most of my teas that way):

Strawberry Quik

That’s exactly what it tastes and feels like. It FEELS like flavored milk, and I know I didn’t put any in. Instead of buying an overpriced soda while my son plays dodgeball at the rec center, I made a thermos of this tea and brought it with me. It was such a great idea!

Cold steeped in the fridge overnight, I’m really enjoying this iced! It brings out a big punch of strawberry and a nice amount of cream… I’m not sure if I really taste the Irish component of the cream but maybe that’s a good thing as I’m drinking this at 10am!! I think is will make a wonderful summer iced tea and am a little sad I only managed to nab an ounce of it during the craziness that was Butiki’s closing sale… If anyone wants to swap something for another ounce or so (or less) of this let me know :)

Brewed up just a couple new teas tonight (after working this morning followed by a very long nap), and this was one that I ended up grabbing. By aroma, it smells like it will just be a strawberry tea, but the irish cream works quite well here to make, as is described, a milky strawberry candy sort of flavour. The green tea base, with some delicious beaniness, works really well here as well, particularly as it adds an additional level of umami to the flavour. Overall, happy to have tried it, but not heartbroken that it’s gone.

Let this one steep a little longer because the strawberry flavor didn’t seem to be coming through much, and I’m more of a black tea drinker..the green always seems “weak” to me. After a nice long steep it was better. Second steep was MUCH better. Adding sugar really made it very good. Enjoyed with scones and peach preserves.

I still don’t get any whisky from this, but from reading Stacy’s description I don’t think I’m supposed to. I’ve noticed that in a few of her ‘Irish Cream’ teas, the description sounds like it’s just regular cream, and I don’t get any whisky flavouring. Still, though, the strawberries and cream are very accurate and adding a pinch of sugar does remind me of those strawberry & cream hard boiled sweets that are the same shape as a Werther’s original but pink and white swirled instead of caramel. I used to love those things. I’d like to try this cold brewed and see how it turns out.

This sounds similar to one of my new favorites (Dublin Cream) by TeaMaze.

I’ll have to check it out! Don’t think I’ve tried anything from TeaMaze before.
