A fun, almost astringent, fruity black tea. I’m not actually a huge fan of tart and this doesn’t go overboard at all with it for me, so I think they did well with a pleasant balance. The raspberry is brighter than “puckery” and the almond in the background is always a nice touch to black tea when it’s not too artificial or heavy. So far have drank a few cups and will mark this one as a keeper, almost done with my one ounce order.

Fruity black teas will never be my thing. I just prefer fruit with herbal or green teas. I can’t really tell what fruit it’s supposed to be – maybe blueberry? I liked it more with milk and lots of sweetener. I taste the fruit and a bit of the tea, and it’s pretty pleasant like this, but I wouldn’t order it.

Adventaggedon Day 13: Tea 3/8

This was my first tea today and I liked it quite a bit. It reminded me heavily of Back in Blackberry (also from Brutalities) which has a very similar, if not the same, brisk and full bodied malty and tannic black tea base combined with a simple syrupy note of berry. In this case, raspberry! I do taste the almond but I think it’s light compared to the berry notes. Overall, it’s a nice straightforward but decadent berry blend!

2021 Advent Calendar

When I did my leaf sniff test I was concerned about the excessively sweet raspberry scent I detected. But after steeping, I only detected the almond flavoring. Pretty sure my head cold is messing with me still. But I think this is one I would do again.
