From BrutaliTeas

Butterfly Pea Flower lightly flavored with blue raspberry, and dusted with powdered (sugar-free) cotton candy flavor extract. Steeps a beautiful shade of blue, and turns purple when a touch of citrus is added! Please note this blend will have subtle hints of raspberry and cotton candy flavor, as it is meant to only have the essence of blue raspberry cotton candy without all of the added sugar. To enhance or sweeten the flavor, use your favorite choice of sweetener. A little goes a long way when steeping this blend, so feel free to use more sparingly than you would with other teas.

I cold brewed this tea and it was not my thing… I can only describe it as vague flower water.

This tea appears to be primarily butterfly pea flower, and it tastes like that too. With sugar, it tastes generally light and fruity. It’s not too special, but not bad cold. I wouldn’t say it tastes like cotton candy, but it’s pretty easy to drink. I cold brewed a second steep for over 24 hours, and that actually did end up tasting a little cakey and fruitier than the first steep.

Advent Day 6

Love love love the name. Very excited about this blend.

Not excited about the butterfly pea flowers- I just don’t care for the flavor. However, I actually didn’t find the butterfly pea flavor too intense. I really enjoyed the soft, sweet cotton candy flavor. I’m sure this would be tasty iced, with a bit of sugar added to bring out the cotton candy flavoring.

I would actually consider purchasing this was summertime.

Aventaggedon Day 6: Tea 6/7

The dry leaf of this smelled amazing, so it was the first tea I steeped up this morning. I was so eager to drink it because it smelled sweet and like very fluffy cotton candy/fairy floss with that hint of almost berry taste to it like what you’d get at a carnival.

However, the taste was very disappointing. It does taste a little bit like cotton candy but mostly it just tastes like butterfly pea flower which is, uhh, not a great taste. Like musty/dirty flower water. But with a hint of cotton candy/sugar. Not enough to make up for the unpleasantness of the butterfly pea flower.

At least it looked gorgeous and deep blue though!

2021 Advent Calendar

The color is fabulous but sadly all I taste is water with a tiny hint of cotton candy flavor.
