After a brief hiatus in 2016, our Sabertooth Ancient Tree Dianhong is back for 2017. Smooth, sweet and chocolate-malty, this primal predator of the Dianhong world makes everything else look like cuddly housecats.
This premium black tea is produced solely using Fengqing ancient tree material, giving it a deeper character over multiple infusions. We recommend brewing this tea gongfu style in order to fully appreciate it, however, western style and cold brewing methods (using new or semi-spent leaves) are also suitable.

I wish I’d taken better notes of the taste during any of my steepings because, although I know I enjoyed this tea, if someone were to ask me to describe the flavour I feel like I wouldn’t be able to. My answer would just be something vague like “Oh, really good”…
