From Bird & Blend Tea Co.

Introducing our first every Mash Up tea blend! We’ve taken two of our most popular solo artists & combined them to make this unbeatable supergroup of a brew! Just imagine a maple syrup dripping, blueberry pancake stack with candied bacon on the side… hmmm (and vegan too!)

Ingredients: Rooibos, Chinese pu-erh tea, Chinese lapsang souchong black tea, cinnamon, hibiscus, freeze-dried backcurrant, apple pieces, rosehip, natural flavouring.

This one wasn’t even on Steepster yet? Another from the sale!  This seems to have the same base as the Maple Bacon Pancakes blend – rooibos, lapsang and puerh.   The flavor is a bit more matching to the name, but only by half.  Again, I am tasting zero bacon flavoring.  Instead, envision a stack of maple blueberry pancakes with a big slab of melting butter on the top.  I definitely taste that slab of butter!  Otherwise, it’s a sweet brew with hints of a jammy blueberry (the blend actually uses blackcurrants rather than blueberries and blackcurrants definitely don’t taste like blueberries to me, so that’s a bit of a letdown.)   Luckily the hibiscus or rosehips included in this blend do not take over with the tartness.  However, this blend does not include vanilla that was the redeeming shining star of the Maple Bacon Pancakes blend.  Though I am happy this does at least mostly taste like sweet blueberry pancakes, points off for that nonexistent bacon flavor.
