From Bird & Blend Tea Co.

What better way to celebrate our Exeter store than launching our very own Devon Cream flavoured brew?! Luxury black ceylon tea with notes of freshly baked scones, strawberries & vanilla. Now – is it cream first or jam first!?

Ingredients: Sri Lankan Black Tea, Ashwagandha, Freeze-Dried Strawberry, Natural Flavouring.

Sipdown! (28 | 64)

Got a sample pouch of this one in my recent B&B order.

The strawberry here is very nice, it tastes fresh and tart and natural. It’s not super creamy but I do get some cream notes, especially toward the end of the sip. But that ashwagandha… Why?! It gives such an odd musty, herbaceous note that’s totally out of place in this blend. I don’t understand what they were thinking by adding it, to be honest… It just tastes weird, and doesn’t make sense for a strawberry & cream tea.

Oh well, at least I have some scrumptious strawberry teas from Lupicia, so I’m not too sad about this one not panning out. :P
