From beTeas

If you love Silver Needle white tea, you will positively swoon over this premium grade Bai Hao Yin Zhen. One of the great teas of China, this exceptional white needle tea from Fujian province consists purely of succulent young buds.

This style of tea, as we have come to know it, dates to be Qing dynasty (1796), and was one of the Emperor’s ‘tribute teas’. This lively and silky liquor fills the palate with fruity and vegetal fragrances (straw, mushroom). Long and delicate, its finish is flowery (chamomile) and gracefully refreshing.

whatshesaid sent this to me quite a while ago now and I decided to whip up a cup before settling down to finally study this afternoon.

It’s a lovely white tea. I’m not always in the mood for a straight white, but this one is great today. It’s soft and slightly reminiscent of hay. It’s almost as fuzzy to drink as it appears in dry form. I’ll save the rest for my girl.

Thanks whatshesaid!
