From Berylleb King Tea

Tea Master: Mr. Liang Jun De
Tea Origin: Tongmu Mountain, Wuyi, Fujian Province, China.
Grade: Top Organic.

Made entirely from buds, the tiny delicately twisted leaves full of golden tips distinguish this from other black teas. The quality of the tea really shines through. A full-bodied infusion deep red with a honey-like sweetness, a subtle milkiness and light coppery finish. Lacks the harsh astringency of some other varieties of black tea.

From Dexter! Thank you so much. :)

So I’ve done some half-assed semi-gongfu brewing of this tea. A couple steeps were overdone and made my teeth feel weird, but generally I’ve enjoyed it. It’s quite rich, and… raisiny, almost. I would consider getting more, even though jin jun mei isn’t my favourite style of tea, so that says something about this one.

This tea is beautiful to look at – all tiny golden buds.
This is really really good. Could be my favorite Jin Jun Mei.
It’s dark and rich, maybe a hint of creamy. Just plain yummy.
This is why I love Chinese black tea….

Edit: This is too good to be drinking at work. It’s just getting wasted here – I need to drink this at home under proper steep parameters. Wonder what else I have in my purse…

I love JinJunMei too – and this is a good one, at least for my tastes it is :))
