When I first got this tea, it was best described as “GINGER in tea format”. It knocked you down and sat on you with ginger. Now, a couple of years later, it is merely a ginger tea. While this is less dramatic, it’s much more drinkable. I left the teabag in the mug to see if it would get more flavor as it kept steeping (it did), but I wound up drinking it too quickly to judge much of the difference. I’m a huge ginger fan, and this tea as it stands now is a wonderful way to drink it. I’ll have to see if I can turn up a fresh box and do a comparison ….

I made this tea because my girlfriend wasn’t feeling well and it’s a very warming tea when you’re achy. It’s got a bit of a rasp, but not the way tea normally does; it’s the part of the ginger taste which just keeps lingering. This tea is quite sweet, which may be why it makes a big deal out of being sugarless – I guess they thought people would doubt!
