From Arbor Teas

Our whole Organic Hibiscus (also known as Flor de Jamaica) is a vision of beauty! The dried whole flower highlights all of the spectacular qualities of this botanical – from its beautiful ruby colored petals, to its bright, crimson, caffeine-free infusion. This is not your teabag hibiscus! The tart, mouth-puckering brew has notes of citrus and cranberry that are offset by a slight sweetness. A truly impressive representation of an organic herbal tea!

I don’t care for hibiscus on its own, but do use it when making my own blends. The hibiscus adds beautiful color, ranging from light pink to crimson red depending on quantity used. It also lends a nice tart flavor to tea, that pairs well with other herbal teas like chamomile.
