So I’m new to green tea. I felt like this was really smooth and I really got the jasmine flavor!

There was a weird freshness to this tea that was verging on menthol. I could feel a slight coolness in my nose and throat, no idea why. Ingredients are just jasmine and green tea.

It’s a pretty bland jasmine green tea, very subtle on the jasmine and a green tea that doesn’t leave a lasting impression. I really love my jasmine teas so this was a bit of a let down. Ahmad’s lemon vitality was good for a standard supermarket tea bag so my expectations were a little bit higher than usual for this Jasmine Romance.

I guess if you aren’t so keen on jasmine it would be nice.

It’s slightly bitter but not grassy, it has that warm honey gold colour and aroma from fired Chinese green teas.

I’ll finish the box but… yeah. The score is accurate, it’s neither good or bad, just hovering in the middle. I did take some nice picture of it for my blog, using spring blossoms from the hedgerow across the road from my home. Spring is probably my favourite season and jasmine tea usually embodies the freshness and floralness of it.

Yeah, it´s not bad tea. But boring. As usual from Ahmad. I thought they were better, but then I feel with loose leaf. I guess it is good starting point though.

It’s the season for trying things I don’t usually like, apparently. Jasmine is something I’ve never really got on with, along with floral teas in general, although I do return to it from time to time just to see what might (or might not) have happened in the intervening period.

This is a green tea blended with jasmine, and in its dry form the scent at least is fairly delicate. No floral olfactory assault here. To taste, it’s also pretty subtle; a nice, smooth green base with a light touch of sweet jasmine. It’s not too heavily perfumed, which is a bonus for me; it’s more like the scent of jasmine on the air during an evening walk than drowning in a vat of jasmine flowers. An impression, rather than an immersion.

I’d not hurry to pick up more because on the whole jasmine still isn’t my thing. This one’s not so bad, though. It doesn’t make me scrunch my face up, at least.
