From Adagio Teas

Few things can pull off sweet and savory quite like coconut. And few teas can play with other flavors quite as seamlessly as a classic Ceylon. In one cup, you’ll get the dense, creamy texture of fresh coconut with the balanced brightness and tang of Ceylon black tea. This Coconut blend showcases a perfectly sweet, warm and aroma, as well as a soft finish. Such a well-blended flavor, it’s like they never existed without each other.

The coconut (Cocos nucifera) provides a high-calorie food in its sweet nutty white inner fruit, potable water from its hydrating natural liquid, fiber that can be spun into rope, and a hard shell that can turn into charcoal for fuel. Scientists using DNA discovered two distinct varietals: niu kafa, triangular and oblong with a large fibrous husk, and niu vai, a round form containing abundant sweet coconut “water” when unripe. They’re found in the Pacific Ocean and Indian Ocean countries proving to scientists that the coconut is a record of voyages of exploration, trade, colonization, and human cultivation.

Black Tea | High caffeine | Steep at 212° for 3 minutes.

I received a packet of this for a birthday present – it’s great! Coconut is one of my favorite flavors, so I really enjoyed this and need to get some more of it.

Very tasty! This tea has a fantastic coconut flavor, and it’s the flavor of real coconut, not a super-sweet fake flavor. I agree with the other reviewer that it makes a delightful dessert tea.

This tea is such a treat! The smell alone will warm you. Brewed, this tea is a cupful of rich, full coconut flavor. I add just a smidge of sugar and milk to feel like I’ve indulged in dessert.
