From Adagio Teas

White buds from old Yunnan Pu Erh trees are used to created this delicate new form of Pu Erh. While a 2012 harvest, these leaves are fermented in the traditional style but only using unopened fuzzy leaf buds. The result is a Silver Needle-like delicate cup but with notes of wildflower honey and classic Yunnan pepper.

This tasted good enough, but really not special at all. Given the price, I was expecting magic. This tasted like a solid (but not remarkable) white tea that held up to three short steeps (but better flavor for two longer ones). It was floral, as expected. It was not special. Recommended in general for taste…but not recommended given that you can find something just as tasty for a fraction of the price.

Ordered a little sample of this because I wanted to try something from the master collection. It’s quite tasty but I’m not sure it’s worth the price (I think I used points on it…). It’s similar to a regular silver needle but a bit stronger. It’s very smooth and has a nice honey taste with some floral notes. So yes for taste but no for price.
