From Adagio Teas

Arabica tea is made from the leaves of the coffee plant, which are unique from coffee beans in that the brewed flavor is light bodied, herb-like, and somewhat neutral. It pairs especially well with citrus flavors, like that of the bergamot fruit in classic Earl Grey tea. A valuable source of antioxidants, with low caffeine, and an easy to brew, light-bodied, refreshing citrusy taste, our Earl Grey Arabica is a truly novel take on an old favorite. Please note, this herbal blend contains a small amount of caffeine.

Ingredients: Arabica Tea, Orange, Natural Bergamot Flavor & Blue Cornflowers

Adagio CommuniTEA – April 28th, 2023

Ooh, an interesting one today. I think I’ve had one of Adagio’s other arabica tisanes before and I remember enjoying it. The mocha one maybe…?

Anyway, this is nice. I’m actually not big on plain Earl Grey these days, I find it to be a bit much usually. But the bergamot here is fairly mellow, and makes an interesting pairing with the hay-like herbaceous notes of the coffee leaf. Reminds me a bit of an Earl on a white base, with those same light & crisp sort of vibes. A nice one for the afternoon, or I guess even for the evening since apparently coffee leaf is low in caffeine.

Seems Adagio is discontinuing their arabica tisanes, which is a shame as I thought they were some of the more unique blends they carried. The lemon turmeric version doesn’t say it’s being discontinued though, so maybe they’re just swapping out the flavors they offer.

Only two more days of communiTEA to go!
