Thank you to TeaEqualsBliss for sending me this sample to try.

Unfortunately, this one isn’t going to receive high praises from me like the last Adagio blend I tasted. First of all, I’m apprehensive when it comes to decaffeinated teas. And Adagio’s decaffeinated black tea is just… icky. The peppermint would be nice if it could cover up that Adagio tea taste. But it can’t. I can taste the peppermint and the vanilla, and those two ingredients are quite nice, but the decaffeinated tea base is not, and it ruins the whole cup, I’m afraid.

On the bright side, I’m glad I got to try it.

I think I sent you my Winter Frost blend too and wonder if you would try that and do a comparison. I know this blend is Woodie Barnes. Just thought it would be fun to see a side by side.

Sure… I’m infusing yours now…

Oh no the pressure is on. I am so nervous. If you don’t like it then it was my hubby that made the blend. LOL :-)

I drank this tea this morning, and it was a nice smooth blend. The peppermint wasn’t too overpowering. The tea brewed up a medium brown color. What I didn’t know was that this tea was decaf. I was surprised as I haven’t developed a headache yet. I can tell I might have one soon. Luckily I’m drinking tea with caffeine now. Good tea overall, however, it is not my favorite.

Was this a tea you got from me?

I have one with the same name and mine is not decaf. However, I hope it isn’t mine since it really your cuppa :)

Too overrun with mint, not enough tea. And even that tea is decaf (dangit!).

I drank most of it but gave up at the end.

Nope, just had enough of a sample to do my morning tea. I got it from the Signature Blends box pass that was going (is going?) around on the Adagio forums. That’s why I’ve tried to many blends. I tried a ton right after I got the box, then I got a bit burned out because there are more bad and just okay blends out there than there are good ones. Now I’m finishing up the few samples that were remaining when I got scared back to my regular teas. :)
