Thank you shmiracles for sending me a butt ton of fandom blends :)

I think I’ve figured it out. The smoky blends with the Lapsang, they’re actually really good! I feel like Adagio’s Lapsang is very strong, but if you let the tea sit and let the flavour settle to the bottom, it’s not that smoky. Like I love the smokiness, but sometimes this tea is just too much for me. So yeah. This is a pretty good tea! But it is a bit strong for my taste, but I’ve found ways to make it work for me :)

Shmiracles

ya, i agree, it’s sometimes too much. but blends tend to smooth things out. my favorite blend is the Sherlock. it’s lapsang and Oriental Spice i think. it just has a nice balance.

i’m pretty certain that i’m gonna drink this Tasha tea fast. it’s very similar to the Sherlock blend and i drank all of that one. simply substitute Oriental Spice for Currant and you have Natasha.

somewhat related,
the hawkeye comic is great. the art is supreme. if you like comics give one drawn by Aja a flip through next time you’re at the store.
zzzzz ….sandwiches zzzz….

also randomly,
in fics, Nat always drinks tea. her and Bruce. drinkin tea. always seems to be. peaceful and balanced.

My first foray with lapsang souchong. I was a bit nervous at first because of the smoky smell, but I made about two cups of this for a travel mug. Following some advice from a review on Adagio, I went ahead and added a bit of milk and half a teaspoon of sugar.

The smell was wonderful, smokey and with a hit of spicy. I didn’t taste it as much when I actually drank it, but that might have been the milk dampening it. Still, quite pleased!

Thank you for the sample, Shmiracles!

Sadly, this was lost on me as a “Natasha Romanoff” tea. It tastes and smells like smoke. That’s it. I don’t get anything else from it. And so it blends with some of the other fandom blends containing lapsang souchong, like (IIRC) Tony Stark. They shouldn’t taste the same. They really shouldn’t.

Anyways, the tea itself was really tasty. I had it with maple syrup and cream. Just. The execution didn’t work so well for me as a fandom blend because the smoke takes over.

This is my last Avengers tea! :O :O :O
It’s been incredibly fun trying them all. This one is rich and smoky but sadly tastes mostly of lapsang souchong. You know what would jazz it up? Hot cinnamon.

Of course if you just want a straight black, this would work nicely.

Thanks Shmiracles! :) (176)

thank you shmiracles All i really got from this one was a lapsang cup of tea. Not the worst i’ve had, but not the best either…and for a custom blend, i want something more! the currant flavour in this one just wasn’t anywhere to be found. ah well.. there were others i like better! :) still good to have though

I was hoping I’d like this as much as I do the Sherlock blend, since this is currant and lapsang while Sherlock is oriental spice and lapsang, but for some reason, I couldn’t really taste the currant. So it pretty much tasted like an okay lapsang souchong. Hm.

This tastes to me exactly like my Russian Caravan blend. Very delicious, mild on the tannins and tastes like wood smoke.
