From Adagio Custom Blends, Cara McGee

Naturally sweet, mild, and most importantly, calming and soothing.

Inspired by BBC’s Sherlock, which I am in no way affiliated with. This is created purely for my own enjoyment.

Created by: Cara McGee

Ingredients: chamomile, snowbud, rose hips, hibiscus, apple pieces, natural wild cherry flavor & cherries

Steeping Instructions: Steep at 205° for 4 minutes.

This was a pleasant surprise in the SHERLOCK sampler set I got from Adagio – I was expecting a very fruity blend when I saw the cherry in there, but it was much more of a floral flavor, with slight cherry taste and was my favorite blend to drink before bed (until it ran out).

Today this tastes completely different than when I first had it- probably because I steeped it in boiling water this time instead of 170F/76C.

I don’t taste the cherry and cucumber so much, and instead taste blackberry leaves, black currant, and hibiscus notes. It’s nice after a few hours in the hot sun. It’s only six o’clock and I may pass out..

A delightful sample from Scheherazade — three Doctor Who teas but I couldn’t resist slipping Molly Hooper in with them. What a fandom squish that was!

My Molly sample got me through two delicious cups this evening, chamomile very present but sweetened just nicely by the cherry. Simple and warm and tasty, a lovely evening treat.
