From A.C. Perch's Thehandel

The largest tea-producing province in southern China is Yunnan, bordering Myanmar, Laos, and Viet Nam. The province is very lush and rich of mountains, and the climate is humid. Yun means cloud in Chinese and not infrequently the beautiful mountains are hidden in clouds. This green Yunnan has a nice, mild and mouthwatering bouquet. Profile: Green Yunnan is of a good everyday quality with large, beautiful leaves. It is a good beginner’s tea if you are new to green teas. The bouquet is round and soft with light notes of hay, fruit, and flower. Recommended preparation: 80°C water / 10 g. per liter water Time: 5 minutes.

AC Perch 2025 Advent Day 11: Green Yunnan

The recommended steep time was 4 minutes, but we steeped this at 2 minutes (after the catastrophe from yesterday). This steeps a very pale green, almost clear. The scent is pleasantly vegetal. The taste is very smooth and light-bodied. It has a floral, almost jasmine quality at the front of the sip and ends on a nicely bitter-vegetal note.

Lex gave this a B.
