Hmmmm, interesting. I’m getting more floral notes on the sip and a slight tongue tingling part way through that I’m attributing to the chipotle, but it isn’t the normal sensation I get from heat. I can smell the cherries and taste some raspberry. I usually really like spicy teas, but this one confuses me a little. Most of the other chili teas I have had have been on a green base, but this one is black. Maybe that is what is throwing me off? Either way, it is still a fun and interesting tea to try!

Curious. I thought I hadn’t ever tried this tea, because I found an unopened package of it that I assumed was a monthly tea I had just misplaced and forgotten to try, but lo and behold, I see I have previously written a tasting note for it. How interesting. I recently went through my AQ2T teas while trying to locate a few things, and I don’t believe I came across a dupe of this, and given that it’s spicy, I can guarantee I had not sipped down a whole package. I did buy a mystery grab bag or two at one point, so it’s possible it’s from there…

Anyhow, this tea was spicy and fruity; I would have liked it better if the cherry was more realistic. I found it somewhat artificial, and couldn’t taste the raspberry too much. I think this is another latte candidate, like the other spicy offerings from AQ2T. Not the biggest fan of drinking them straight.

This was a fun tea. The raspberry still got to me a little but i love the balance of sweet and spicy here. Largely cherry with more aroma of raspberry and then the spicy kick. Nothing like Kaphaa but just enough to really highlight the sweet. Thanks VariaTea!

mmm..cherry. Sounds like a good tea to try. I remember seeing it and thinking about it. Of course it will have to wait until I drink my current tea stash down to make room.

Sipdown (230)

I get spice in the back of my throat and a red fruits flavor. Nothing special but perhaps that is age. That means this sipdown came at a good time. Dropped from a rating of 80.
