This tea is ancient, but all the flavours are present and accounted for, if gently so, against a backdrop of brisk black tea. Quite a tasty cup.

VariaTEA

I saw the name and was like “wow, its been forever since I saw this tea” and then you start your note with its ancient lol

Evol Ving Ness

I don’t know whether it is age that has mellowed it or whether it was originally so, but it is perfect now. Generally, I find AQTT’sblends too artificially force for me. With a few exceptions, of course.

Daylon R Thomas

Man, that sounds like a brilliant flavor combo. I wish I picked some of that up years ago when I bought from them.

Kittenna

Apparently I have some of this too, and this flavour profile just sounds delicious. Maybe on “V” day…

I have one cup left and I will make a note to not leave it too long because it is perfect NOW.

Hmm. Thought this was likely a share from Sil or possibly VariaTEA, but they have too many notes for that to be too likely, especially given how much tea is in the packet. Did I buy this one myself? I probably will never know.

Anyways, using this as a palate cleanser between oolongs. I was getting too confused. This tea is okay, but there’s not enough pear (I like what I can taste, though), and no cardamom to speak of. Maybe there were cardamom pods, and it was hit or miss if you ended up getting one in the brew? It is perfectly pleasant though.

Another tea from the awesome Sil!

Tbh I drank this absentmindedly so I didn’t notice any particular flavors but I didn’t notice it was warm and comforting and just a happy, homey flavor…like baked goods in fall. I will try to pay more attention next time but this did go down quite easy and isn’t that what counts?

Thank you Sil!!

Follow up to the original note…I have used more leaf in the subsequent steeps, and it is a stronger flavour, but I still find it milder than I had expected. The vanilla pear just sort of blends into everything, and the cardamom butter is more of a mouthfeel. Despite this, I do really like this tea, as a tea, and how it tastes to me. But I just don’t get the flours from it as I was hoping to. Would I get more if I could? Quite possibly. It does make a quite lovely breakfast or morning tea. I am upping my rating on this.

Another tea from AQ2T. I didn’t have high hopes for this one as it feels like pear is a hard flavour to master out there in tea world. However, i like trying new things, and if this tea worked, it would like be a favourite as yes to vanilla, pear and cardamom. :) The dry smell of this one is very much pear and vanilla. Even though Lauren’s pictures are accurate on her storefront, i wass still a little surprised to see the giant chunks of cardamom butter. heh they are big!

Brewed, this is a subtle tea. I’m hoping that as it cools more of the pear flavour will come out, as hot, it’s more black tea with hints of flavour than anything. I get almost memories of vanilla and pear, versus truly drinking a pear/vanilla/cardamom tea. Thankfully the base tea is delicious so no complaints there, just not the tea i was looking for. I may try a cooler brew next time with a longer steep today was 200 @ 3 mins.
