From A Quarter to Tea

What could possibly be better than having pancakes for breakfast?

Drinking them of course. Ceylon is used as the base and is paired with the flavors of cinnamon-spiced pumpkin pancakes with a hefty drizzle of maple syrup.

Makes an excellent latte.

Ingredients:
ceylon black tea, ceylon cinnamon, cacao nibs, pumpkin mini sprinkles (icing sugar (vegan), modified corn starch, corn starch, fractionated palm kernel oil, cellulose gum, soya lecithin, vanillin, polysorbate 60), natural flavor

In celebration of having milk handy, I made a cup of this with a bit of honey to start the day.
Enjoyable cup. Cinnamon, spice, distant maple, a bit of nut, a bit of pumpkin. The added sweetness lifts up all the flavours.

I like very much that the maple is barely there. I seem to have experienced too many teas where the maple is boom in your face. It’s a nice change to have it as one of the many flavours at play here although all the flavours are subtle, nicely so.

I find steeping it with water a minute or two past boiling is best.

It was one of those mornings when I went through almost everything to find a tea that was right for the moment. Good choice. That said, I don’t crave this one, and I won’t miss it when it is gone.

I am blown away by how amazing this tea is. The black tea is strong, but not bitter. The maple flavour is absolutely lovely, the sweetness ties it all together. It tastes like maple walnut ice cream. The harmony is perfect, nothing overwhelms any other flavour. This would make a very tasty latte also.

Glad I sampled it. A good black tea and what needed to keep awake, but a little bit too much on the strong end for me. Cream and sugar would give this one superpowers, though.

Overall, I get MEGA pumpkin spice with a really nice maple flavor blended in the bitter and malty tea. This would probably be a good latte, or a replacement for the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte for all you white girls.

Almost at the end of my 2 oz. bag of this. This is easily my favorite of the AQ2T teas that I bought. The maple is the dominant flavor for sure. Enjoying this outside on a nice MN springish day. #Springish

This one wasn’t what I was expecting: the “syrup” (maple) flavor really dominated the blend for me, with just a light spiced pumpkin flavor coming through. It was good, but not my favorite.

I’ve had this twice now, and still can’t quite make up my mind as to what I think about it.
Its certainly a very nice black tea, and there is a nice pumpkin spice flavor to it. But I don’t know that I’m getting the “syrupy” or even the “pancake” out of it.
As I say, enjoyable, but I feel like I’m missing something. I’ll keep trying!

This is the second time having this since I couldn’t help myself and try this the minute the parcel landed yesterday, seeing how it’s one of the most coveted QTT blends at the moment.

The second time around, my impression of this is not changing in any shape or form. The dry leaf smells a little bit like cinnamon cider. Taste-wise, it’s not what I was imagining at all. I thought I’d get a pancakey note, or at least something cake-like, but instead, I get just maple, and the cinnamon isn’t there in the flavour. Maybe it’s just me? To be fair, this is like real maple, which is sweet but doesn’t have as much flavour as artificial maple-flavoured things, such as maple sandwich cookies. As a side note, I’ll confess that I actually really like the strong, artificial maple flavour! But this tea rather reminds me of the maple candies—made with real maple syrup—I picked up at the Bay many years ago.

Next time I make this, I’ll brew up a stronger cup and add some light cream.

Second tasting of this delicious tea. Tons of maple but for me i just don’t seem to get much pumpkin, and i do get a bit of bready something. Maybe i need to adjust my amount of leaf or steep time, but still really enjoy it, very warming and comforting. I will for sure be getting more of this before i run out.

Unlike most of QTT blends… this one isn’t EXACTLY like the name. But it is very very yummy… especially as a latte. The maple and pumpkin dominate the blend, and the base tea shines through. Nom nom nom. There is something a bit bready as well, but it isn’t clearly pancakes.

This is a low calorie version of a Starbucks Pumpkin Latte to me :P but with a good base tea.

So nice to have this in the cupboard :) I got a sampler from A Quarter to Tea awhile back and this was my favorite of the lot. I love the maple flavor and the spices are warming without being overpowering. A lovely morning cup..
