Tea of the Week for October 12, 2020!

The Second Tea of our Trick Or Treat Theme for October 2020!

I know Pumpkin Spice can be somewhat polarizing. There are those that love it & those that detest it. I’m with the love it crowd – I don’t drink a lot of pumpkin spice lattes because – coffee, not my thing – but I do drink quite a few pumpkin spice chai lattes this time of year & I like to create at least a couple of pumpkin blends each year. Here’s my first pumpkin blend for fall 2020- a combination of the go-to pumpkin spice & the classic 52Teas favorite flavor Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha!

I’m loving how this one turned out! It starts out with our organic Genmaicha & our original Marshmallow Treat recipe – then I added some cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg & allspice … & of course, PUMPKIN! The result: Nice pumpkin-y notes, warm spices & of course, that fluffy, marshmallow-y sweet from our Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha!

This tastes like what happens when you add pumpkin pie to your marshmallow treat recipe – liquified with some green tea! YUMMY!

organic ingredients: green tea, toasted/popped rice, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, pumpkin, marshmallow root & natural flavors

Not too bad, but tastebuds too muted to say too much. Tasted like spice, marshmallow fluff, and toasted rice.

Hmm…

I think this one is just not for me. This is my second time trying it, and it still tastes like blandly spiced genmaicha to me. I don’t get pumpkin or marshmallow tastiness.

It seems we’re just not meant to be, I think I’ll set it aside for a swap or tea box where someone will enjoy it more.

This is such a warm, comforting tea. I love the cinnamon and nutmeg combined with the toasted roasted and gooey marshmallow. I hope this comes back at some point.
