“Overwatered” this tea by accident, as I used a different cup and intended not to fill it, but did. Whoops. Anyways, the flavour here is quite light, which is what I remembered. It very barely tastes of cinnamon and other warming spices. I may try overleafing and a short infusion next time to try and get more flavour out (only about a cup left). Not a favourite.

Tea Press Sipdown (588)!

Suprisingly large amount of clove in this cup, without a lot of other competing flavours. Pleasant though; I’m always down for a good clove tea! Not much else to say that I feel hasn’t already been covered.

One less Christmas tea in the cupboard; maybe a good thing? Not totally sure.

Sipdown (97)

I cold brewed this and holy cloves, batman! Seriously, all the cloves! Though when that subsides, cookie flavor remains…a cross between gingerbread and a sugar cookie, nutmeg/ginger but still sugary and sweet. At times orange sneaks in but it’s fleeting. Nonetheless, if you can get passed the cloves, this is actually a pretty nice cold brew.

Hm. Well, it’s a light tea, in that it’s not heavy, thick or malty. It is however very, very strong on the ginger and clove (this be good with me, to a point). The clove is actually making my mouth a bit dry and losing feeling – also not a bad thing per say, just wasn’t expecting it.

I almost feel like i’m drinking one of those spiced oranges I’d make as a kid (cloves plugged into an orange and then left out for the smell). There’s a touch of orange, maybe? in here, dunno. Something slightly sweet. Cookie? No, sorry.

Thank you shezza for sharing this with me! I’m happy with the one mugful that I got.

I know what you mean about this one, I kind of get “Christmas” from the cloves and the orange, but there really isn’t any cookie anywhere in here. I always think of it as a chai with a really light base, so I completely forgot about the misleading name.

MissB

Eh, I don’t really look at names much, other than… well… if they name it Cookie versus Chai, well, I want cookie. :P I’m always happy with a chai though; I should have waited to swap with you, I have more tea today! lol

shezza

We’ll have to do another swap sometime, I still have to wait for all my black friday stuff to come in! (I was not so good this year)

MissB

Woohoo, yes! Just note that usually I’m traveling, so swaps are more me sending tea back from far off lands. :)

Not sure why this is called “Christmas Cookie”, as I’m not picking up on any flavors that remind me of a cookie! To me, it’s a nice light chai with a white tea base. Good, but nothing special.

From the Not my Cup TTB

This is a nice light tea with strong ginger and cinnamon flavours. I don’t taste the orange or almond.
