Kristin! Thanks so much for sending some of this my way!!!! I’m so excited to try it!!!!

Prior to infusion smells JUST LIKE Strawberry Champagne! While infusing…pretty much the same but warm…yes! You CAN smell “warm” sometimes! LOL

This brews quite dark…darker than I thought it would! Nice color!

The taste is very pleasant. The Strawberries are plump tasting and yummy. Not tart. YUMMY.

The Honeybush flavor is subtle…another thing I like about this…I can suggest it to my friends who aren’t sure about honeybush or have had negative trials with it…I think they may find this one to be different.

It’s very smooth! I’m ‘getting’ a slight lemony-type taste after noticing the strawberry…but then again maybe it’s just the strawberry flavors morphing during the sip???

I like this one! Creative! Tasty!

I am enjoying this hot with my dessert right now, and it’s fantastic. Sweet and yummy… and this even has a bubbly sort of taste very similar to that I’d experience if I were drinking champagne.

So good. And glad I have more of this so that I can write more about it later… because right now I’m enjoying it too much to write.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooo!

Southern Boy Teas

Our local customers drink gallons of this blend as Sprite Spritzers: About half a cup of hot tea with a 1/4 cup of sugar dissolved into it then iced and topped off with a 12oz can of Sprite.

LiberTEAS

Wow… that’s a lot of sugar though when you consider the sugar in the sprite too… I wonder if it would be tasty without all that added sugar? May have to try.

Southern Boy Teas

I would sweeten the tea a little bit, but maybe you don’t need that much. The Sprite Spritzer is a 1/4c, the Coke Spritzer takes a 1/3c, just because the Coke is such a strong flavor. You might be able to get away with less with the Sprite. It is DELICIOUS though.

Southern Boy Teas

Of course, with ours, by the time you ice the tea (it comes out of our machine unbelievably HOT) and add the Sprite, you wind up with a 24oz. beverage, so, maybe the sugar isn’t quite so bad taking that into consideration.

But I can’t deny it. Our kids are sugar-freaks. We go through about 15lbs of sugar every week. And we’re only open 17 hours a week!

Frank evidently blended a tea that is irresistible to my cat Sangye (pronounced San-jay). I put 2 tsp of leaves into a paper filter and walked away to do some other things while I waited for the water to boil. I came back to find my cat Sangye eating tea leaves. So, I didn’t get to taste that first cup.

I made another cup. The dried leaves have a laffy taffy smell to them (not necessarily a bad thing). The brewed tea has a strawberry candy flavor to it (could be that I over sweetened it – next time I’ll taste it before sweetening). I like it a lot. I am thinking this will be fabulous iced.

Here is a picture of Sangye in case you wanted to see him too:

KITTEH!!! implodes
He looks an unusual shade of orange there. Or is that just the light playing tricks?

Kristin

He is a Devon Rex and has short soft curly fur. He is light orange. Here is another pic:

He’s gorgeous! I have an orange kitty too, but he’s a butterfly tabby and a little lighter in color.

Oh, and by the way, I love the butt warmer. I used to have a cat (my favorite of all time) who would turn on the tv through the set top box and sleep on top of it for the warmth.

Kristin

@Morgana – that’s hilarious. They love sitting on the laptops. I close them and hook them to my monitor and keyboard so they are actually running and getting warm.

__Morgana__

One of my current cats used to sleep on my printer for the warmth, in the curved area where the paper would come out. It was just the right size for a cat bed, which was awful. My docs would come out covered in cat hair. Eventually it got so clogged I had to buy a new one, and I cleverly bought one with an uncomfortable scanner do dah at the top. ;-)

Your cat is beautiful. If I ever get another cat, I am going to get an orange one. (Right now I have a black and grey striped tabby). My cat loves green tea so I feel your pain. I have to keep my eye on him because he’ll be drinking out of my cup when I’m not looking.

Kristin

Thanks. I also love the orange kitties!

Yummy strawberries!!!

Once brewed, this smells deliciously like strawberry jam on warm toast—yummm.

The taste, compared to the scent, is pretty mild. I detect something slightly grape-like and woodsy. Maybe even “bubbly” (like champagne). The strawberry flavor is way in the background—an accent.

On cooldown, I taste grape-y honeybush.

Not bad at all. The scent far outweighs the flavor, though. But I love honeybush—it’s very calming for me—especially after a long day. And I love the scent of strawberries ’n toast. So, I think this is fabulous in whatever flavor!

This started okay. I liked the strawberry it was good not at all tart. Really didn’t taste much honeybush. I think it will taste good iced. Otherwise, nothing over the top great but delivers what it is labeled as.

Since it’s champagne, maybe it needs soda water?

RachanaC (Rachel)-iHeartTeas

Haha maybe I should try that. :-)

Ricky

Seems I’m going to have to try this one iced.

Rachel sent me this awesome box with all kinds of little goodies in it. This is one that I’ve been wanting to try ever since I knew it existed. Thank you so, so much!!

The smell is wonderful, crisp strawberry and that effervescent scent of sparkling alcohols. The taste is almost decadent. I feel like I should be sipping this out of a champagne flute rather than the mug that I’m using. The honeybush suits this flavor combination perfectly. Really, it’s delicious!!

I am so, so happy I got to try some of this!! Will definitely need to pick some up from MSH’s website!!
