drank Earl Grey by Shaw's

Backlogging. Needed a bagged Earl Grey, disliked most that were at the store and figure I’d give it a shot, being fair-trade minded.
Surprisingly decent. Granted it was my first cup of the day and I don’t remember much more than what I was studying.
I’ll get back to this with a more through dissection.

I think my faith in humanity has been restore a bit. I am in love. This love may have to fight my love of the sciences which, as most of you don’t know, rules my universe.

I will write more when I am back to being coherent and not studying like whoa for Orgo

Distinctly non distinct. I definitely can tell it is a higher grade green than in the grocery store, but it wasn’t something that called out to me.
Nice and mild, I felt it had kind of a peppery component to it, and the characteristic green tea taste.
Next time I will remember to avoid cleaning with the potent smelling chemicals I have right before I try to examine a tea. And to not use my bright orange tea cup so I can see what color it is.

So I try not to repeat teas when I have ones I haven’t tried, but this ( and the Thai Chai) made me cave. It was beckoning me, even as I eyed my mostly untouched green sampler from Adagio.
Giving into temptation hasn’t never felt better. Once again, after my first couple sips, I’m getting progressively more droopy eyed and sated.
Ahhh, tea, how I love you.

I just realized I’ve technically logged this twice today once at 1 and once now. Therefore! Not ignoring new teas, but a delay from enjoying this one. I feel much better, even as my text books loom.

drank Thai Chai by Adagio Teas

Back logging, btws…
I wasn’t feeling to perky this afternoon, thanks to be a lady, and wanted something I knew would cheer me right back up. So I turned on some old Better off Ted episodes and brewed up a yummy cuppa Thai Chai. This time I happened to have coconut milk in my fridge from making coconut rice (which is delicious), so I added a bit in. Oh, I felt loads better afterward.
This time round, I picked up on way more lemongrass even with the added coconut. Also, the coconut milk messed with the texture a bit, not in a unpleasant way but not pleasing either. However, throughly recommend adding a bit of coconut milk to it and pretty much anything.
Has anyone else tried brewing a chai in coffee? I always order a dirty chai when I’m out, or am I crossing a line?

Cofftea

I ALWAYS order a dirty chai too! 12oz. double shot double pump mocha, double pump caramel, no water. and not the concentrate either, real tea bags! If you don’t want something with a milky texture, just brew coffee with tea instead of plain water (2.25 g for every cup you’re making). It makes a wonderful spiced coffee w/ the health benefits of tea. I was actually going to make myself a dirty chia right now. Adagio’s Chocolate Chia steeped in 3oz 2x strength coffee then adding 3oz milk. I might even add mocha hazelnut sprinkles:)

teafiend

Yum! I’ve never added mocha or caramel but I’m not really a sweets person. Now I really want to try coffee + chocolate chai. I have so much to do today and this will definitely keep me while being awesomely tasty!

Cofftea

If you don’t want it overly sweet, use shaved 100% dark chocolate so the caramel doesn’t make it too sweet.

Thank you for getting me through my classes today, tea. I really appreciate it! Also, very tasty this morning, I am more pleased than usual. I think I’ve finally figured you out, and look forward to our future mornings and potential luncheons.

I like this tea, but not enough to re order it.
When dried the leaves smelled like dried fruits and honey. The taste delicate, to say the least, and was clean and vegetal. It must be my water but I’m not getting any sweetness and it taste a bit stale and vaguely chlorinated.
A classic green, but nothing particularly intriguing.

This is my first step into the land of Rooibos, and I am very pleased and excited.

At first it was too hot to drink (burnt my tongue again), so I contented my self to smelling it. Absolutely intoxicating. The vanilla was very apparent, but not cloying. The spices were layered and complex, and there was something lingering behind it. I’m almost sure it’s the rooibos, but as this is my first go at them I’m not 100%. Anyways, I had a hard time trying to describe it, I decided on earthy but in a less moist way.

Then came tasting. First thing that stuck me was the prickle of spice on my tongue, then the heady vanilla, and followed with the roobois undertones. Very mellow, very light astringency with a clean finish. I’m not usually a fan of vanilla chais because they tend to be very sweet to me. But this one tasted like vanilla should, not the usual sugar+vanilla extract.

An added bonus is of course that it doesn’t have caffeine, as I realized a bit late that I was drinking a mate/green tea blend at 10pm and was never going to be able to sleep. This tea however totally made me de-stress and wind down to the point that I’ve nearly fallen alseep typing this. Also, it was interesting to watch steep as it looked my strainer was bleeding.

Overall, I really enjoyed this tea and will almost certainly buy another container when my sample runs out.

It is tea. I wish I could wax poetic about it, but eh. A very good comfort tea with milk and a nice pick me up in the morning.
My mother got me a big box of it, and I found it under a pile of papers. Now I feel obligated to drink it, not really a chore only kind of.

After resteeping this from yesterday, I am getting way more pleasing grassy tones to this, with the right touch of vegetal. I’m liking it much more this time round, and my lazy/cheapness had paid off for once!
Still a bit bitter, and more watery than I’m use to, but nice nontheless.
