Another tea with popped rice, and I absolutely agree with why it’s in there. I’m not really a “Easter Egg Nest” eater but I think I can guesstimate what the taste should be. But I’m still not sure if I like that flavor in my tea. The chocolate is nice. I wish there was more of a creamy element, like more marshmallows in the bag? Not bad. I’ve yet to have a bad tea from B&B!

This reads so fake to me, but I still like it? The blueberry isn’t bad but the peach isn’t the fresh, fuzzy kind. Generic fruity. Bourbon cream is supposed to be in this too, but I don’t taste it. This review sounds negative, and it kind of is, but eh. I drank the cup and didn’t hate it.

Another tasting note for this one. Brewed it really strong (I am forever forgetting my tea and oversteeping) but go big or go home, right? I added sugar this time, even though I rarely drink my tea sweetened, and it helped SO MUCH. It curbed the harshness the sarsaparilla can have, and made the mint smoother. I would love to try this with vanilla agave.

Terrifically tropical! I’m actually really impressed with this. On dry smell it seems like it will be another generic fake sweetener fruity tea, but it’s less sweet than I expected. Oh, it’s still plenty sweet – you can tell the fruit was candied – but I don’t taste any offensive sweetener. I’m having it hot because I’m a dork who likes hot fruity teas, but this would be a star iced.

I like this one. It reminds me a lot of Teavana’s version, which I guess is to be expected. I do think DTs is better. No strong marigold taste like yesterday, and I think the hibiscus level is lighter (but I like hibiscus so you might feel differently). I am drinking it hot, so I can’t fully rate how it would be iced. Good, dependable fruity stuff!

My first genmaicha ever! I think I need to get used to the taste. To me it tastes exactly like Honey Smacks cereal – which is my least favorite kids cereal. But a lot of people love it! No rating on this because I don’t think it’s a bad tea at all, I think it’s just a little new for me.

drank Peach Mai Tai by DAVIDsTEA

Finally tried a sample I received in my last order, and I’m not really a fan. Usually peach is my jam, but it tastes too artificial. The ginger is only noticeable enough to serve as a jarring ingredient. Also: mine tastes very weirdly herbal, and I’m pretty sure it’s the marigold petals. Are they even necessary really? And I’m super confused how this can be a black tea marked “low caffeine”. Basically not my favorite.

I think it’s low caffeine because there’s only something like one tea leaf in the whole bag, lol.

With the hot weather and a job change, I’m only now beginning to bring parts of my stash to the office. I picked this up not too long ago when B&B did their Christmas in July sale, because everyone raves about it. For good effing reason. I was nervous because chocolate teas AND black teas aren’t really my thing, but coconut IS. It’s amazing! The perfect amount of coconut with just a hint of chocolate in the background – enough to make it feel creamy and warm but not watery like most chocolate teas feel for me. I bought the big bag of sachets so the marshmallow element feels a little lost presentation-wise, but I know they’re contributing to the creamy factor. Yay! Now to deal with the anxious jitters I get from multiple cups of black tea….

drank Sweet Lime by DAVIDsTEA

This is one of my very first teas I picked up from DT years ago, so I have a soft spot for it. I love it hot, but cold brewed it yesterday and it’s good that way too. Bright lime, sour candy notes, citrusy and a little floral: it also acts like a lemon tea in that it just makes me feel better. I’m going to try the traditional way of iced tea with extra leaf next (I just used a tea bag in a cup to cold brew) but this is just such a utility player for me. I’ll always keep it around.

Flavors: Citrusy, Floral, Lime, Sour
