Smells like wood smoke. Delicious. I got 4 infusions out of it, and the smoky flavour held out quite well for the first three. The smokiness isn’t overpowering though, there’s a good balance between smoke and tea flavours.

It hadn’t occured to me to try multiple infusions for lapsangs. I shall try that – thanks for the tip.

I am really jealous of you US-based tea drinkers: I love this tea, but it just doesn’t exist in the UK. I got a few bags as part of a gift a while ago and I’ve been really carefully rationing them since :(

Not the best Earl Grey I’ve had. The bergamot was very weak, but still quite a nice tea

I love this tea. Citrus fruits and sencha go together perfectly, but this tea is something special. It’s the biscuity flavour that does it: it adds a lovely warmth to the smell and the taste of the tea. The inclusion of peppercorns and cardamom pods (real favourites of mine in flavoured teas) helps a lot in this regard, and means the subtle spicy tone hangs on through multiple infusions – I usually get three or four out of this tea.

I’m Kat. When I was eleven I decided I wanted to drink green tea, and that’s where it all began :)

I work part-time in a conference centre, I just graduated from university and I miss working in a tea bar so, so much.

I will drink pretty much anything except rooibos, and I have a cupboard full of tea to prove it. I’ve been known to convert people to tea, my boyfriend is hooked on Yunnan blacks at the moment and I’ve just got my dad started on pu-erh :)

Favourite teas are Japanese greens, ‘green’ oolongs, Darjeelings, Earl Grey and citrus-flavoured greens.

One day, I will have my own tea shop.
