I had high hopes for this product and I still want to like it, but I just can’t seem to find the right way to brew it. Orange flower, orange peel, almond, on an oolong base sounds like an exquisite blend and they’re just the aromas I like. However, whenever I brew it, it comes out too bitter and sharp. I tried to be careful with the tempratuer, amount of the tea I put in and everything but it didn’t work out. I’m still hoping I will like this one day.

The perfect berry tea I have tried was Fairmont’s Berry Berry tea, and I have purchased Teekanne’s berry herbal tea variety in the hopes of finding something similar to Fairmont’s but my choice was wrong. Even though the ingredients and the flavor description are very similar, all the Teekanne’s berry herbal tea varieties I have tried turned out to be way too sour. I do believe they’re healthy though. At least they don’t taste artificial and that’s good but really I always have a lot of tea bags left around in my cupboard because I can never finish them all. They do have many more attractive looking berry blends, but I’m afraid to experiment with my own money. I will try them if I get them for free from somewhere but I highly doubt I’d purchase any more with my own money again. Taste wise I’d give it 5 to 7 out of a hundred, but I’d give it 15 for the medicinal benefit – their berry herbal teas contain elderberry leaves and rose hips which are really good for cold.

I love bigelow’s herbal tea blends, because they’re so good at making a flavor that is so close to the fruit or a flavor that they try to emulate without being overtly sour. They don’t add any sugar or other types of sweeteners but the aroma is so pleasing and satisfying. I love it that they do this with herbal blends. Needless to say this peach variety is great. It’s so peachy and delicious. I got hooked on after trying Spiced Orange and now I’m in love with this! Very happy with my purchase.

drank Peppermint by St. Dalfour

I bought this expecting it to be an organic herbal tea, but turns out it was a Ceylon tea flavored with peppermint. Usually I am very sensitive to caffeine, thus try to avoid black/green tea as well as coffee except for some very special occasions, but this one was alright. I drank it at night and had no problem falling asleep. Taste wise it’s very mild and cooling enough to soothe throat and open nasal passages. I must say even though it wasn’t the product I was looking for it wasn’t as disappointing. I think I got what my money’s worth and am okay with this purchase.

I was expecting something a bit more dry with more kick. Cardamom, ginger, clove cinnamon are all warm ingredients and that’s what’s shown in the front but if you read the ingredient list you’d find green tea and spearmint which are cooling. The taste is reasonably clean and pleasant, but I was expecting something more warming from the packaging and the featured ingredients.

It didn’t just taste bad, I found it intolerable. I was expecting something like spicy herbal chai with a touch of citrus or a touch of spice on hibiscus based citrussy herbal tea, but apparently this wasn’t it. It had a really weird taste that made me want to puke and made me sick afterwards. I am afraid to touch the bag ever again. I am so sorry it turned out like this.
