13 Tasting Notes

My first full day back on campus and it is freezing, due to the rain and being in a room in the basement aka the pit. The cinnamon is the perfect antidote for the cold and damp seemping into the concrete, especially since I can’t get into my bed without climbing onto my desk in order to warm up.

I used to drink this a few times a week since it was one of the teas we kept in backroom of the school library. It’s okay but a bit too floral for my taste, however it is light and has a slight frothy feeling. The fruit flavors are a bit ovewhelemd by the floral notes. That being said, this tea is good for a quick fix if its the only thing available at the moment.

This is the tea I was drinking yesterday and during my first final this week. Hot Cinnamon Spice is one of my favorite teas, and the tea that is my ‘standby’. I love the cinnamon, however that last sip is always a bit too much of it. In the past two days I have managed to get my roomate addicted to it in a total of three cups…oops?

Bio

I’m a graduate student in anthropology specializing in zooarchaeology (archaeozoology).

I’ve been drinking tea my entire life and when I was in high school fell into the world of loose leaf tea and the obsession has only grown from there. I drink far more tea than I log, but I am hoping to finally start rectifying that.
