i bought this one completely blind.
i didn’t taste it before hand and just dove in and ordered 100g. BAM
i don’t think i super duper love it exactly the way i thought i would, but i suspect strongly that it’s one of those teas that will grow on me in a deeper way.
the part that lured me in was the “biscuit” and the “orange” “apricot” flare.
no regrets. not at all.

oh damn gurrl this rulez!

i’m so so so glad i got the advent calendar. they took it down off their website now. but that’s okay. i will continue to order 100g bags from them. using the teas i got to taste this winter and the taste profiles/descriptions i’m sure i’ll make some good choices in the future.

also, i’m kinda a chocolate tea fanatic. so if you get me with one tea, you probably have me with all the chocos in your catalog.

drank Apricot by Harney & Sons

never would have expected to like this one more than the American Tea Room Apricot but hell, i just do. i will consider buying a small tin of this in the spring. i’m even adding it to my shopping list as a reminder, and heck i rarely do that.
it’s not like amazing or anything, but i could easily see myself chugging a cup on a regular basis when the sun is out. know what i mean :)

oddree

I want to try this one!! I seem to find Harney teas surprisingly superior too. Subtle tea is subtle.

Shmiracles

you’re gonna dig it oddree. pretty sure. (no pressure! haha)

this tea seems pretty well liked by steepsterites, and i’m always glad when someone finds a tea to love xox … but … and you knew there was a but … it did not impress me. i’m gonna have to give it a few more rounds of course, once is never enough, but i’ve met other vanillas i liked more.

super fun! and i always love a vanilla mint combo.
only one scoop of tea left. and the solitary piece of popped popcorn just keeps floating around in the tin. bop bop.

oddree

I wasn’t gonna steal that kernel…

damnit
i have a lot of teas to make notes on.
the ones that left an impression i can remember fairly well :)
but this one, not so much.

Terri HarpLady

I hate when that happens :)

oddree

I agree. Kind of a weird stevia aftertaste?

drank Caramel by American Tea Room

a fine enough caramel tea. simple.
not really a strong flavor at all. and not very sweet.
i bet it would benefit from some agave and milk.

Yay dammann!

I’m attending a potluck tonight and I’m bringing donuts and tea. I just spent a good hr organizing my tea and then deciding what to bring and packing it up.

I watched ‘please vote for me’ and ‘waiting for Armageddon’, two documentaries. And now I started ‘roman holiday’ but I think I’m gonna finish it later.

If I focus and stay determined, I will be able to reach 600 different teas tasted by the end of tomorrow. I think that’s a nice goal. Fun to try at least. :)

This tea is not really my thing. I’m not a green lover and not a fan of cinnamon and though the description doesn’t say cinnamon it’s the scent and flavor that I’m getting most. It overrides the ginger and orange for me. Too bad.

The beginning of Roman Holiday is real cute btw.
And Gregory Peck is a total hunk.

Anna

I actually walked Via Margutta today! (Where Gregory Peck lives in Roman Holiday.)
