Bought this at Margaret’s Tea Imports in Pittsburgh when I was visiting family last week. I’ve been wanting to try it forever, and she had a big selection of cheap Harney & Sons, so I went for it.

This tea is just lovely. I’m a bit rusty on describing tea since I haven’t been reviewing, but this is very smooth, not too heavy, and has a not-too-sweet berry flavor with a hint of lemon at the end. Just great. I think this will become one of my “I don’t know what to drink this morning” teas.

Hi all! Long time no speak! Since I last did a tasting note, I’ve gotten a new job, so it’s been pretty hectic around these parts. I haven’t been drinking much tea (mostly because my apartment doesn’t have AC and it’s been hot as heck in Chicago), so I haven’t been on Steepster much.

Last night a fellow tea-loving friend gave me a few bags of his PG Tips. He loves PG Tips so, so much. It’s his everyday tea and has been since he lived in England for awhile. He had already told me he loves strong, bitter black teas, so I knew that’s what this would be. And honestly, it’s better than I thought it would be. Definitely bitter, but I could see how it would be warm and comforting on a winter’s day.

Perhaps more importantly, this bad boy should be arriving at my house today: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003DTLNI8/ref=oss_product. I’ve been wanting a nice iced tea pitcher for ages now, so I now I’ll be able to drink tea all summer!

Congrats on the new job!!

Yeah, congrats Bethany! And welcome back! Alas, your link doesn’t work for me, but I’m feeling you on the need for a good pitcher.

The smell of the dry leaves is exactly like gummi peachies, which made me concerned. Thankfully (I think), it tastes nothing like that. The peach flavor is much more subdued than the smell of the dry leaves, and in fact is a little too light for my tastes. It does, however, come out more as the water cools.

I’m (almost) always up for a trade, so comment on a tasting note if you’re interested. I try to keep my cupboard up to date.

I’m a 23 year-old grant writer who loves having a good strong tea by my side as I write. I love The Mountain Goats, cooking, the Steelers, writing, beer, and singing in my office band.
