Straight black tea, nothing special.
Received a sample from Golden Tips. Wouldn’t buy again, just nog my cup of tea I guess. Lacks the boltness of a good Assam and the complexity of a Darjeeling.

185 °F / 85 °C 3 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 200 OZ / 5914 ML

mmm. Have to get used to this one. Not familiar with green Darjeelings, and much prefer the vegetable taste of Japanese green teas.

Yellow colour in cup, tastes a bit bland/flat at first. Nothing wowish, so the sweetish aftertaste & mellow hints of muscatel certainly came as a bit of a surprise.

Haven’t figured this one out yet, as my sole passion of anything green lies with the Japanese teas since long, but maybe I need to brothen my horizon and pick a green darjeeling now and then.

aggr… awful early grey.

Smells great, but it’s like drinking perfume. Very unnatural, odd taste. Looks like someone dropped the bergamot oil bottle in this tea. :(

Great fan of a proper earl grey, but will steer away from this one.

I am drinking this one right now. I’m just getting into Darjeelings, and this is everything I want a second flush to be. Oh Emm Gee. So much Muscat. So DEE-LISH.

golden tip Assam tea

1 tablespoon – 200ml little glass teapot;
Taken plain, & no sugar.

1st steep: 4 min. a golden, almost deep orange tea, with a sweet aftertaste. Yummie. Hints of baked bread.
This one is amazing! This is …. well, YUM capital letters!

2nd steep: golden orange cuppa, yet again with a sweet aftertaste. Steeped a bit longer, but I guess this tea doesn’g get bitter, no matter what.

3rd steep: Golden yellow; hints of baked bread is now gone; but still very pleasant, like a 1st flush assam.

I think I can get one more steep, but since I have more teas from Golden Tips to review, i will leave that to others.

finally found it in a newly opened organic supermarket. They will continue to keep it in stock. Pff. so pleased. It’s my favourite earl grey. Couldn’t find it for years.

Genuine earl grey tea, doesn’t get bitter. No artificial colourings, additions. Just plain organic assam with organic REAL bergamot oil. A gem.
