Been trying to sip this down by mixing with Tangerine Tuxedo.

A decent enough combination that I’ll likely be able to finish this eventually.

Wow, its been a while. Got a sampler of this in an order last year and finally sipping it down. Given my last note was almost 5 years ago, I thought I would make a new one.

I’ll agree with the description in that it does have kind of a cereal vibe to the flavor. Not really my thing.

However, I am glad to be trying to again. Tastes change over time and it can be nice to revisit to see how my perception changes.

I’m also updating to match better with my new rating system.

I really love orange. Its one of my favorite flavors. And while this tea is called “White Tangerine”, its ingredients list show all orange.

Also, having fallen in love with Adagio’s White Grapefruit (2nd favorite citrus), I thought I really needed to give this a try.

This has a lovely mouth feel. But flavor wise, there’s just not much of anything. I feel like it could really use some of the zest or the essential oils from the zest.

The tea base itself isn’t bad. I’m sure its nothing to write home about, but its something that I can drink without any complaints.

I had had Tangerine White from Republic of Tea (which I could no longer find online last time I tried) and The Capsoul. Both were great. Wish I could get them again.

I really need to sip down some of these Adagio samples.

Longer steep times don’t really help with the flavor. I’ve really wanted to like this, the idea is so very appealing, but I just don’t.

Its not bad, its just not what I want it to be.

Here we are, half way through December, and it is still quite pleasant. Not so much a warm weather tea I thought it was going to be initially.

Surprised as all heck, but I’m really enjoying this. Cinnamon is pretty much the dry scent. Cinnamon is the dominant flavor when steeped. However I have noticed that while drinking I am strongly reminded of baked goods of some kind. There is apple, but ts a subtle flavor and likely what sells the baked goods feeling.

I’d rate this a little higher, but this feels very much a seasonal tea. As the holidays are approaching and the weather getting colder, it really hits the spot. As spring approaches, I’m sure my interest will wane.

drank Ginger by Adagio Teas

Tried again. Maybe its more powdered ginger than fresh ginger?

Still an element that makes me think of plastic more so than ginger or tea. Tossing the rest of this. Just not my thing.

Adjusted rating for new system.

So, this packet was opened about a year ago and has been sitting in my drawer pretty much untouched during warmer weather.

Love it every bit as much as I have before. I think it may have mellowed out a little in flavor, but has not suffered for it.

Love the mood it puts me in. Sadly not a mood that’s work friendly. :D

Wow, this packet has been sitting in my tea drawer unopened for over a year now. Fall weather is officially here so I thought this would hit the spot and it does.

For as long as it sat, I thought there would be a decline or unbalance in flavor, but it tastes pretty much as I remembered. Even the chili has a slight mild kick in the back on the sip.

Getting close to half way through this tin and still haven’t written notes.

I find this a bit harsher than I like. A bit astringent and maybe something else? Hard to describe. Its not bad necessarily. I’ll likely finish it, but its not something I actually enjoy.

Astringency gets harsher as it cools.

Another that might work well with add-ins if you are an add-in type of person.

I don’t drink much Assam but I bought this to share with a friend who loves it. I don’t add milk and sugar to my tea usually. I found that if I used a lower temp and shorter time, this one was pretty nice, and my friend who loves brosk and malty tea liked it and didn’t find it too strong for her. Not a repurchase for me and if I remember correctly, I gave the rest to her.
