Tea Desire has the best selection of organic, high quality, teas from Germany – you can taste the quality while drinking. The high-grade Matcha is my favorite and drink it everyday. No artificial flavors! :)

This is my all-time favorite tea store where I go to buy all my tea related products. From the quality, to the exceptional staff, I recommend this store to all of my friends and family.

A very nice store to visit and worth spending money on. Not like David’s Tea or Teavana carries limited choices of teawares, here in this little shop you would find so many choices in style, colour, size, function. More of that is the wide range of tea choices from the bulk tins to gift packages. Now they also carry stylish accessories from Guatemala. I can imagine all of these could make one feels overwhelmed but the employees are very attentive and friendly. I’ve never had any problem in finding what I need or what I like. I would recommend this store.

I am very surprised with the negative comments here, Tea Desire has only ever provided me with more than exceptional service. I have never had any of my many questions go unanswered, and have never seen the store as anything but spotless. I came on here to share how great I have found their selection, none of it has any artificial flavours! And you can really tell the difference. I would say their matcha’s and chai’s really stand out but I have found many other favourites.

First off, this store is no longer at Woodgrove mall, they’ve moved to a new location in downtown Nanaimo. As for the actual store, I’m not a fan. Every time I’ve been in (in their old and new locations) I’ve found it to be dirty, dusty, and not well organized. The customer service is always hot and miss, there are a few knowledgeable and help staff but even more completely unhelpful and rude staff. Not a fan!

I love this shop. The staff have never been anything but friendly, helpful and courteous. They carry a great range of teas and accessories. They have relocated to Country Club mall after being forced out of Woodgrove mall in favour of David’s Tea and their new location is just as great, if not better. I buy all my tea here.

The sheer chaos and dirtiness of this store put me off. I’ve wandered in a few times and have yet to make a purchase as it always feels overcrowded, the tea pots and cups are dusty, and the employees clueless.

I did get a free tasting of their blueberry yohgurt tea while I “shopped” there (walked around in a circle as the employees were taking up all the space and once again restocking their stock – replacing dirty wares for new dirty wares?) and it was semi-flavourful. I tried to ask the tea guy more about it but his extent of help was to read the sign above it to me.

They did have “samplers” for sale for 2-4 dollars but they didn’t include their entire tea line and were just enough to make one pot of tea.

Wow, dirty decorative tea tins (they were clearly used and returned to the store) and after the time I had I was in no mood to go back and return them.

The employee, looked as though she did not want to be there, and I was unimpressed with the lack of information offered to a first time customer. I was told that I would need to buy tins if I only wanted sample sizes (our bags are for 50g or more only) and the list goes on.

I will say this company could use some help from “The Tea Guy” – yeesh! The woman who was scooping my tea spent more time mashing the dry oolong leaves, I nearly had a heart-attack! Those are tea leaves! Not sand or dirt!

Oh my gosh! If I want tea from this store again, I will seriously have to consider if the cost of gas for the travel is worth my time.
