Love this shop! The number one place to go for Chinese teas. They have a great selection of green, white, oolong, and sometimes pu-erh teas, however I wish they’d keep more pu-erh in stock. The shop is small but cozy and the owner knows his stuff. The tea workshops he offers are highly recommended.

Great selection and being able to purchase sample sized amounts is always a huge plus for me. The person behind the counter was very helpful and patient, and provided me with some good recommendations. Lots of gorgeous tea ware too, including many tiny yixing pots.

My only wish is for more detailed descriptions of the teas in the menu. Many did not have any tasting notes, and there were no ingredients listed.

Amazing shop, very friendly and helpful. They sat with us to demo two teas which we bought, and they have a very nice selection of gaiwans. We would absolutely buy our tea here again. :)

Tao Tea Leaf has been my home since find them online in 2009. Before then I had only tried Japanese tea. Tea Sommelier, Tao Wu, brought me through the world of Chinese Tea.
I shop here for all my Chinese teas because of the great service and attend all the events I can. Great gem in Toronto.

Fabulous place to enjoy tea. The owner is extremely knowledge and if you show interest in his traditional teas he will be very helpful and enthusiastic. If I lived in Toronto I’d be there everyday.

A true gem in Toronto! I’ve never seen so many high grade Chinese teas in one shop. The owner, Tao, is a true tea master. Apparently you can sign up for tea tasting workshops on their website and have the whole Chinese tea ceremony experience. So much top quality teapots (Yixing, glass, ceramic) and teaware, I want to buy it all! Nice fish, too.

Selling only a few select, high quality Chinese teas (mostly greens and whites), this is a fine tea house and shop. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Some great teaware and furniture here as well.
