A strong, roasty tea that’s good for accompanying breakfast. However its kind of plain to my tastebuds now that I’ve started becoming an earl grey addict. The brew is medium brown. Steeping for too long will result in a sharp and bitter tasting tea. Go with what your eyes and tongue tell you with this tea.

It is lightly flavoured but isn’t bland. The mintiness isn’t too strong. Overall it is a pleasant cup of tea for evening consumption. The effects are quite potent though. Based on what I’ve experienced, one cup is all it takes to start feeling sleepy. After finishing the whole pot, I went to snooze comfortably on the sofa.

I did not like this tea on my first cup but I think it was because I wasn’t used to the bergamot flavour. Once I got used to the flavour, I loved it. It’s fragrant and strong enough to keep me going through marathon study sessions. Although the flavour is strong, it isn’t bitter. However the tea may taste sharp if it’s steeped for too long.

First bought this 5 years ago at Mount Wu Yi, Fujian on a trip. It was love at first cup. This tea is strong roasty flavour that is best described as resembling japanese genmaicha.
There is a lot of thought in the packaging though. The box I bought had many smaller boxes of the tea within. Each smaller box contained 2 plastic packets of vacuum packed tea. This makes the tea convenient to carry a around on the go.
