drank Merry Cranberry by DAVIDsTEA

this one was a bit tart for me, but smells just lovely. the spices really round it out and, for me at least, make it more palatable.
if this didn’t have the green tea it would probably be my go-to night time herbal for the holidays.

a nice amount of that cinnamon heat, lovely on a chilly february afternoon!
the green tea is a perfect base for that hot, sweet flavour

drank Banana Dream Pie by DAVIDsTEA
132 tasting notes

i had a sample of this one a while ago, i thought i reviewed it but i guess not!
i just got another 100g in the mail today, does that say enough?
this is probably one of the most amazing teas i’ve had from David’s since Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble!
tastes JUST like a banana chocolate pie, so delicious.

Boiling 3 min, 45 sec

i feel like i’ve already had something from David’s that’s very similar to this tea…
regardless, it’s a very nice blend. the big chunks of chocolate leave a nice warm aftertaste, and the coconut makes it really smooth. the black tea is a nice base and not strong at all.
another tea to brew in a bag and not a metal strainer, as the coconut oils and chocolate bits gummed up my favourite one (my fault!)
a really tasty treat :)

Boiling 3 min, 30 sec

I find it a bit similar to (formerly Dr. Chocolate)Spiced Carob, which wasn’t my fav either.

drank Strawberry Ginger by DAVIDsTEA
132 tasting notes

i was hoping for a nice big, bold BANG of ginger from this one, but it really fell flat.
not much flavour at all, really. just very light and unassuming. like it didn’t care at all.
hahah, i will try blending in a little Ginseng & Ginger from Silk Road, that might up the flavour a bit to more of what i was hoping for. we’ll see!

Boiling 5 min, 0 sec

suggestion: Add a heaping amount next time and steep for longer..I really love this tea actually and I don’t care for ginger..check out my review..

drank Choco Cinnamon by Tea Desire
132 tasting notes

yummm! this tea is lovely AND beautiful!
i definitely got it just because of the precious chocolate stars (i love anything star shaped), but the fact that it was a nice green tea AND had cinnamon, well, i just couldn’t go wrong.

the cinnamon really does come through nicely with the light green tea. the chocolate is very subtle in the background, but very nice.

i would recommend steeping it in a fine tea bag though, like the DAVIDsTEA drawstring ones, because you do get a bit of a hazy film otherwise, with the chocolate and all, if that bothers you. if not then go crazy with a nice loose steep!

i haven’t tried this as a latte yet, but i am dying to!

I sooo want to try this!

drank Pink Flamingo by DAVIDsTEA
132 tasting notes

this is excellent as an iced tea with (a ton of) sugar, but i would 100% NOT recommend it hot to anyone who has the same battle with hibiscus as i do.
it is so tart and blech tasting when hot, i don’t even want to think about it again to describe it.
a definite NO for me.
iced though (a cold steep), in the summer, it is quite nice.

Preparation
Iced 8 min or more

I’ve tried this tea so many times..iced at the store..at home..brewed lighter, bolder..I pretty much can’t stand it..!
I wish I could like it more..but it’s pretty much a horror story for me! lol

Calla

I agree….. this tea is way better iced. It isn’t even an option for me to drink it hot, I only made that mistake once. On the other hand, when Pink Flamingo is iced… it is simply divine, truly the definition of an exotic chilled drink for the summer.

this is the best best best white tea i’ve had!
definitely beats out davids strawberry rhubarb parfait – more warm spice and barely-there tart hibiscus.
the cinnamon is so lovely and comforting, but you still have that nice light frutiness from the strawberry, and a bit of zing from the hibiscus (basically acting as the rhubarb).
wonderful! definitely one to stock up on, a bit on the expensive side with the white tea and everything, but so so worth it.
thank goodness it’s a permanent online exclusive! <3

I’ve been tempted on this, even though I don’t like a lot of white teas. This description makes it sound scrumptious though! :)

if you like fruity/warm flavours, it is so worth it! next time you feel like splurging for something new ;)

i couldn’t choose a favourite kind of tea, though i enjoy greens and black teas the most. sweet fruit, citrus, or spicy warm flavours score high with me. i’m a believer in medicinal teas and am always looking to learn more and try new teas
