buttered rum just reminds me of my dad, he likes rum, and this tea! definitely smells like sweet, buttery coconut with an aftertaste reminiscent of rum. a really nice, differently flavoured black tea

this tea is ridiculous. i love sweet/fruity teas, plus back currant is one of my all-time favourite flavours. the berry smell of the dry tea is so strong and lovely, it really wakes you up in the morning. i find to get the best flavour, a 5min steep in boiling water and then cooling until it’s almost not warm enough does the trick. haven’t tried it iced, but i’m sure it would be amazing. the best summertime tea (but it brightens up these cold autumn days too!)

first oolong i ever tried, and still my favourite. wonderfully sweet, creamy smell/flavour. mixes well with other teas with simple flavours, like Honey Bee from DAVIDsTEA. also nice for multiple steeps!

drank Japanese Sour Cherry by Silk Road

love this tea! one of the first flavoured greens i tried. lovely light cherry aroma, seems more like a bing cherry rather than a sour one to me, but i’m not complaining. really nice green tea flavour with cherry aftertaste. delicious!

second steep just as good :)

drank Crème Brulée by DAVIDsTEA

i usually use 2 teaspoons per cup with this tea, as 1 – 1 1/2 isn’t enough to really taste the caramel. a nice, rich dessert tea that’s good before bed as there is no caffeine!

drank Pitta Ayurvedic by DAVIDsTEA

this tea is on the verge of a taste i dislike but cannot pinpoint exactly what it is. more one of the teas i’d drink for benefit rather than taste/enjoyment, similar to those cold/flu teas. who knows if it really works in terms of what the Davids description says, probably mostly a placebo effect, but i’ll take it. i have no issues with mind tricks to calm down.

drank Lime Bang by DAVIDsTEA

i’m sad this tea got discontinued, replaced by Lime Gelato (a worthy contender, but…), not before i ordered a tin online, silently rejoicing as it had been popping off and on the website for a few weeks before it was gone for good. i know it’s just the idea of gunpowder over ‘regular’ green tea that makes me love it so much more (i’m a sucker for pretty packaging/great names), but this is definitely a tea to savour. an excellent green tea flavour with those hints of apple and lime. perfect for my tastes! and good for a re-steep, or two if i’m lucky.

drank Mango Madness by DAVIDsTEA

this tea is somewhat disappointing on its own, before steeping it smells fantastic with all the pieces of fruit, but afterward the flavours don’t translate. i prefer it with breakfast, the salty/savoury foods bring out the sweetness of the fruits more.

i couldn’t choose a favourite kind of tea, though i enjoy greens and black teas the most. sweet fruit, citrus, or spicy warm flavours score high with me. i’m a believer in medicinal teas and am always looking to learn more and try new teas
