Had a cup of this with dinner. I do enjoy rouge de provence rooibos blends, the berries and lavender go well with red rooibos to make a rich, satisfying blend. I thought I had logged this one before but I couldn’t find the note lol. Anyways, a nice cup! Rating: 82.

Anna

Oooh, have you tried the one from Mariage Frères?

mrs.stenhouse12

No I haven’t tried any MF teas yet unfortunately, I’ve been looking at French companies lately though, I want to try them at some point! When I have room in my cupboard for them that is lol, currently I am out of space for any more tea :( lol

Anna

The only acceptable solution to that problem is to get a bigger cupboard.

…but yes, that sounds awesome. I guess making up fantasy shopping lists from all the French companies you want to try might work as a substitute until you free up some cupboard space. =)

mrs.stenhouse12

Haha yeah that would be the solution, but I think my boyfriend will kick me out if my teas take up more than half the kitchen :P lol

I am on the MF site now, they have quite a few rouge rooibos blends that look really good! I haven’t looked at reviews on here yet, it might get too tempting..haha

Anna

Ah, but I think it’s fair to keep your partner’s weight in tea – I mean, it only makes sense. Weigh the boyfriend and weigh the teas, and then subtract to see how many more lbs you have to work with.

Their reds are lush, really elegant and often very multifaceted. Nothing like cardboardy bulk-rooibos, that much is certain.

mrs.stenhouse12

Haha good thing he is super tall then! :D

Their teas look very good, mmm I would love to find some spectacular rooibos, I would like to cut back on caffeine more and if I had some really good rooibos, it would make it that much easier and better!

Hello all, I am an electrical engineer (read:NERD :D), who is a bit obsessed with tea! I discovered loose tea in 2011, DAVIDsTEA in 2012 and it took off from there. I really started drinking/enjoying tea because it was excellent to take to class in the morning and because I can’t handle coffee! (unless it’s a really good cappuccino or latte, or decent decaf haha)

I enjoy a variety of teas – current favorites being ripe and raw pu’erhs, chinese black teas and herbal/green rooibos blends. I also enjoy white, green, and oolong teas, although I tend to drink them more in the warmer months. I have also tried matcha and guayusa, but I don’t drink them too often as I am a bit sensitive to caffeine. As a result I don’t drink black teas as often as I used to, but in moderation I can still enjoy a wide variety of teas.

Oh, and I have a severe peanut allergy and try to avoid most other nuts, just to be safe. Limits my tea choices a bit, but that’s ok. However I have tried almonds and found out I can eat them, so I have been trying a few teas with them in them.

95+: Absolute favorite, will try to always have it in stock, and when I don’t I pine over it!
90-94: Awesome teas, will probably purchase again a few times
80-89: Very good tea, may restock at some point
70-79: happy to have tried and will gladly finish, but not restock
60-69: not horrible, but not the best, will finish if I have some though
50-59: not a favorite, probably will have a tough time finishing the bag
-50: yuck. I don’t want to have it ever again.
