This tea taste’s so strongly of added flavorings, it is disgusting.

David’s tea tends to use a lot of added flavoring in their teas, and usually this results in a strongly flavored, but delicious tea. Not in this case. In Green Passionfruit the added flavorings are so potent and overwhelming that is like drinking fruity perfume. It completely overwhelms the tea, and to the point it is almost nauseating.

It tastes more like they added passion fruit perfume to the tea, rather than flavor.

It wasn’t undrinkable, but the more I drank it, the less I liked it. The more it started to be overwhelming.

The most noticeable flavor is the passion fruit, with tastes of pineapple, and behind all of it green tea.

This tastes exactly like lemon fruit loops.

My partner and I have a bit of a disagreement on this point. I say the various colors of fruit loops have different flavors (with the yellow ones being more distinctly lemon), he says they all taste the same. Regardless, we both agree this tea tastes precisely like fruit looks.

This is also really strange since the first ingredient is ginger.

The tea tastes nothing like you would expect based on the ingredients (ginger and matcha being the most prominent.) Instead the artificial lemon flavor, and the sugar from the apples completely dominate the tea.

With all that said, it is a tasty tea (if you like artificial lemon), and there is a hint of ginger if you are looking for it. It is also a good tea for people who want to drink matcha without actually drinking matcha.

Yum!
This tea tastes wonderfully like a chocolate covered banana! When it is hot the smell of banana is the most prominent flavor, but as you let it cool further, the flavor has more depth, with enough cocoa and chocolate to balance out the sweetness of banana and honeybush.

A tasty re-blend.
The Spiced Orappangele is an orange apple green tea, with cinnamon and nutmeg. It taste’s like a Christmas orange tea. The balance of flavors on this tea is really solid. You can taste the orange, with hints of the spice, and the green tea base. The apple adds a bit of sweetness without too much flavor.

I really enjoy this tea, I hope they bring it back again. A lot of winter/christmas spice teas are too potent and in your face, this is subtle, balanced and pleasant.

This is a very odd tea – Mint, Tulsi and peppers.
The two most prominent flavors are Mint and tulsi, I cannot find the flavor or heat from the pepper at all.

It is an enjoyable cup of tea, the mint isn’t too over powering. However, I am not a fan of the peppermint source that 52teas uses. I find it very astringent and sharp. I had the same issue with Graveyard mist. The actual source mint is not the best.

The cup is enjoyable, an odd mix of flavors, but floral tulsi mint is quite pleasant!

Flavors: Pepper, Peppermint, Tulsi

I think this is the first papaya tea that has actually tasted like papaya.
It really tastes like papaya, with hints of watermelon.
The white tea base is soft, and adds some extra depth to this tea. The flavors are strong, maybe too strong for the white tea, but enjoyable.

This tea is more delicious iced, but is solid either way.

Yum!

All of 52tea’s Genmaichas are delicious. The base of this tea is a beautiful roasty green tea, and the warmth and nuttiness of the toasted rice is delicious. The addition of coconut is another layer of yum.

This tea is Coconut genmaicha, and that is exactly what it taste’s like. Neither of he strong flavor overpowers the other, just combine in a cup of warm yum.

A berry nice tea!

The very first sip of this hot tastes of blueberries and maple syrup, almost like blue berry pancakes.
Of course there are no blueberries in the tea, but that is definitely the most prominent berry flavor.

As it cools further, it is an indistinct but delightful berry tea, with the bright flavor of berry, without being over powering.

If you are looking for a Blueberry Oolong I would recommend this. If you tried David’s Tea – Blueberry Muffin , it tastes just like that but without the overwhelming sweetness.

drank Vanilla Bergamot by DAVIDsTEA

Vanilla Bergamot is an intriguing tea. A few years back Davids tea did another white earl grey inspired tea – "The earl of lemon’, which is one of my all time favourites. So i was hopeful that this tea would be delicious as well. While this tea is not quite as delicious, it is a really wonderful tea.

It is a very strong smelling tea, immediately when you open it there is a potent sweet floral scent. The flavor brews to be very similar to the smell of it dry. Strongly floral, and overly sweet.

I feel as though by vanilla, they actual meant sugar. On the palate though, it is not overwhelming sweet. And on a second steep, the sweetness is nice. I would enjoy this tea significantly more if they ditched the apple, and reduced the sweetness a little.

This is a rare tea that is floral without being overpoweringly so.

Flavors: Bergamot, Floral, Vanilla
