This may be one of the best teas I’ve ever tried. It is glooorrriooouuuus.

Had it at the usual White Tea temperature despite the package suggesting I should put it in boiling water. It tastes like what life is all about. The melon is very flavoursome, the smell is amazing and the taste matches very closely. I thought I loved the Melon White Tea from The Republic of Tea but this one is like the plussed-up version of it. It’s so smooth and fantastic. It also has quite an ability for re-steeping, I made 4 cups with only 1 1/2 teaspoons. That’s good as it was quite expensive compared to the usual Lupicia teas, mote like $13 for 50 g rather than $6. TOTALLY WORTH IT.

Drop whatever you’re doing and go buy this tea, right now!

This tea takes me friggin’ BACK. I love this. It is a powerhouse of British glory and reminds me of the year I lived in England. I could drink this all the time. It’s really awesome, the flavour is powerful and bold but not overpowering by any means. Really, pretty much a perfect tea.

This stuff is good with anything. I don’t usually drink tea black but it’s even awesome like that. Very good with milk, good with cream if you’re fancy like that, and epically awesome with lemon juice and sugar. As Wallace from Wallace & Gromit might say, “This stuff goes down a treat!”

Do yourself a favour and go buy a box of this now. You’ll probably punch yourself in the face with shame once you realize you should have been drinking this for years. This was at the top of my tea cupboard hiding for a while but I just moved it down to eye-level so I can drink it more often.

Probably not ideal for an evening tea due to the caffeine, but truly glorious for breakfast or especially when the clock strikes 4. It’s tea time, baby!

Ohhh man this is good. Like some of the other Earl Grey teas in the Upton Earl Grey tea sampler, this one also smelled pretty darn intense, but was less crazy once brewed. The flavour of this one (and the smell too), I prefer much more than the Lavender one.

This was really quite good. Next time I will make sure the water is fully boiling but yeah, this stuff rocks. Pretty strong Earl Grey smell but chill enough once you brew it. Tasty stuff.

If you’ve always wondered what a Lavender-flavoured punch in the face smells like, then smell this tea. But buckle yourself in first.

This was pretty insanely overpowering and while I can’t say I’m a hater for lavender, this was really really intense. Once you make the tea it was much more subdued, thankfully. I think I messed this up a bit though, I used lukewarm water instead of boiling. So I need to try this again. But on first taste, this is not my favourite of the Upton Earl Grey sampler pack. I like the other ones (eg Earl Grey Creme Vanilla) much better.

Be careful not to overheat this tea or steep for too long. Before I really got super into tea I would just boil water like usual and drop this bag in a teacup for 5 or so minutes. Blech. That will result in some pretty overtly strong tea and those gross tannins that come out when you overcook Green Tea.

Now that I have a real tea kettle (thank you Cuisinart!) with temperature controls and am more careful not to leave the tea bag in too long, this is great. It is a bit minty which isn’t a huge thing for me but the lemongrass addition is really nice. It’s a great green tea and quite tasty and enjoyable, just don’t put it in boiling water like I’ve been doing for years!

A classic from South Africa. I bought a huge box of this when I was there. This is like the PG Tips of South Africa – a real standard, go-to tea which you can drink anytime cause there is no caffeine. It’s got a nice flavour, it’s very chill and goes well with milk. Would be nice with honey too. Not flavoured or anything, but it’s such a good standard option to have in the cupboard. Tasty!

Pretty interesting and different Green Tea. Never really had anything like it. I figured it was Brown Rice tea as it looks very different, it actually has puffed rice in it! It looks like you’re making tea with snap, crackle and pop!

Pretty nice and smooth green tea, not overpowering like some other green teas I’ve had. Nice flavour and toasty vibe is pretty cool. Not my absolute favourite thing but I could see stocking a small amount of this in my tea cupboard for once in a while. It’s good in the afternoons.

Pretty darn good. This is my 2nd Lapsang tea and 1st ever taste of a Lapsang blend. The other Lapsang I’ve had is the Twinings Lapsang Souchong, straight up. It’s waaaaay more intense than this and way overpowering. Fun sometimes but a bit over-the-top. This one is a lot more chill and British-y. It’s tasty, and it as a bit of that funky flavour but it’s not in-your-face and it’s not too much to handle. Really nice. I’m not a huge Darjeeling fan (at least not yet) but the blend here is really nice. Would definitely buy this again.

Tasty white tea, but I should have probably steeped it a bit longer and used cooler water. This was my 2nd taste test of an Upton Tea and it was very nice but reasonably plain. I haven’t yet got a taste for the variation of unflavoured white teas – the taste is usually very subtle and I think you pretty much have to make sure you don’t make it with water that’s too hot. It was nice, but nothing over the top special. I’ll definitely try some of their other white teas.
