THANKS TO ANDREWS AND DUNHAM DAMN FINE TEA for this sample!!!!!
NOW that’s a good cuppa tea. Rivaling coffee, it’s strong strong strong! Love it! Deep dark black tea taken with three sugars, bold and heavy, with a note of tobacco smoke. Arrrrrr, matey.

THANKS TO REVOLUTION TEA FOR THIS SAMPLE!
This has a distinct pear flavor, which is good. Not too pear-y. Really light, but I think it would be better iced.

THANK YOU TEA EMBASSY FOR SENDING ME THIS SAMPLE! (more like full size bag lol..yay!)

But awe man. I must’ve effed this up a few different ways. I either over-steeped, over-steeped with too much tea to not enough water, or had the water too hot. Cause I think I scorched it and it went bitter bitter bitter. :( Trying again later tonight, but you know what? It was still drinkable after what I did lol, so that tells me its still a pretty damn good blend.

Im not going to lie. I drink this every morning with breakfast, with white sugar until it’s sticky sweet. This tea is just to DIE for and Im going to cry when I have to wait to get more in the mail. REALLY dark robust black tea with just enough of a kick in the pants to make me want to put ON pants in the morning. This is definitely my go to.

Thanks to Numi for sending me this entire box od tea to sample! :D What an awesome gift.

Tonight I chose Decaf Black Vanilla.
Since I didnt want to spill any in bed, I chose to break in my new Tea Traveler!!!

This tea is really smooth and light for being a black tea. Very night worthy! I love the real vanilla beans opposed to vanilla flavor. Save that stuff for baking a cake, you know? This stuff is awesome. SO mellow! So Im sitting here sipping this, enjoying being a tea lover, and all that goes with it like extra awesomeness and whatnot, and paired with some Gotye and chatting up an old college friend on yahoo messenger….tonight is good. Numi, you set the mood.

Wanna know something cool, and nostalgic? This tin, was the very first tea I ever purchased. Im 24..I bought it with my allowance when I was 11. The canister itself is vintage – the logo doesnt even look the same and I love it. I came across this looking in my tea chest to log on this site, and though omg…please tell me this isnt empty. It had maybe 3 teaspoons left. I remember how much of this I WASTED teaching myself how to brew it. lol…
It smells strong and reminds me of childhood—-in the winter time reading goosebumps at the dining room table, with my hot tea LOADED DOWN with sugar right before bed (8:30 pm…) lol. Lord..the cavities. That’s why I haz them. I dont know whether to finish it off or to auction this off on ebay when my son is getting ready to go to college lol. Ah, memories.

Appreciate the sample, fellas! But….alas…

NOT a favorite of mine. I followed directions. Instant tea, Im sorry to say, should not need straining. and straining. and picking out little leaf dusts and fishing out little half broken pieces of clove.

Too much work to even enjoy it.

Tipu's Chai

Hey Amber, Tipu’s Chai here. I’m not sure what sample you received as we stopped calling it “Microground Instant” last year when we changed the formula. We don’t call it “instant” any more for just that reason – expectations! Chai is made with lots of spices and we didn’t want to use extracts and filler to create a truly “instant” chai. So there will be spices in your cup and we believe that is a sign of REAL chai. It also creates the full bodied chai kick that so many of our fans love. It isn’t for everyone, especially if you don’t want any spice sediment left in the cup (makes the last sip unfriendly). But we think it makes a lovely flavor and allows the health benefits of the spices to really come through. Thanks for taking the time to review us and good luck on your journey through the vast land of tea!

Whew! What a strong black tea you are!!

This tea is above and beyond one of my favorites. It tastes to me what BPAL’s Mad Hatter cologne smells like. So very a merry unbirthday, to you Twinings. Twinkle twinkle…little bat….

I had to go look up Black Pheonix Alchemy Lab. Quite an interesting line of scents that they have.

Amber

The first one I ever got was in a blind trade, and I ended up getting Cthulhu in Love, which smelled exactly like seaweed, salt water, and cordial cherries. NOT the best combination, but they are true to their word, that’s for sure. Check out there Imps Ears, its much more affordable than buying the whole bottles if you dont know what you like yet. The Mad Tea Party collection goes in and out through the year…every year. They always tease. :D

Wanna know something pretty strange? I found this in our local Dollar Tree. Shows what you can find in the strangest of places….

but woo! Tea for 1 dollar.

Tastes like candy, but with a sort of cough drop after flavor. Not bad on a wintery night.

I actually had ONE tea bag of this a few months ago upon receiving it on a tea swap off of swap-bot.com, and I still remember how good it was. I emailed Twinings of London because I couldn’t find it anywhere and to my sadness they told me it was only available in the UK. SO SAD!!! But, these folks are so nice that they sent me out a sampler package of a bunch of similar-tasting teas available right here! Nothing can compare to the smoothness of this tea of course, but I just thought that was nice and I had to share. I’ll never have you again, unless I make friends with a brit or move to london. :(
