30 Tasting Notes

Slightly bitter taste. Warming. Very savoury. Perhaps that is why I am the only one to dislike this tea. I prefer sweeter teas (like early grey and vanila black) and certainly don’t need a warning tea where I live. Not for me.

I have never tried this tea hot. I always have it cold when I don’t have time to make my own tisane. A tablespoon with about 2 liters of water is wonderfully refreshing and delicious. I think this is the best one out of 3 similar teas blends I tried. I continue filling up the pitcher with water and it gets weaker, but the longer it has to infuse the better, so it is best to start overnight.

First time I tried this it was little disappointing as cinnamon was the overwhelming taste. I am not sure if it aged or something, but when I next tried it a bout 3 months later it tasted more rounded, more like maple syrup. This is a tasty tea and if you notice what I did, leave it for a few months to see if that helps.

I was very unhappy with this tea and originally just gave it a score of 38. Sorry, I don’t recall the reasons why. I have just upped my score to 55 as it is not bad used as a cold water infusion.

Smells vegetal and tastes that way, which many love. Its just not my cup of tea. There is some complexity but the savouriness just doesn’t get me excited.

Not my cup of tea. This is quite a bland flavour and like the previous reviewer says, if you are looking for fruity sweetness (which I love), this isn’t the tea for you.

Often I can make good use of green teas I find poor or in this case bland by using them with cold water. Unfortunately the leaves don’t all sink like they do with some and the taste is nothing special when cold brewed.

Lovely light color. Subtle smell which intrigues i.e. it smells like there could be something rich and tasty afoot. The taste is very clean and pleasant. This is a tea I can easily drink all day without becoming tired of it. I originally gave it a 73 because it is subtle, but now that I find myself appreciating it for long periods of time it is being revised to 80.

This Ceylon based tea smells sensational. It tastes delicious. Lovely color too. This is a great tea if you want an easy to make Earl Grey with creamier notes than the more traditional types with Black Tea. This is one of my favorite teas; clean, refreshing, slightly sweet, slighty creamy and very smooth.

This is a good solid oolong tea. It has some character which I find it hard to put my finger on. Rather pleasant for 3 steeps. This was bought in a Thai supermarket.
