Because I haven’t had a Japanese green for a while. And what better Japanese green is there than this? Sweet, rich and just an all-round beautiful cup of tea. Two teaspoons of leaves per cup, steeped for one and a half minutes in water at 55C.

Got some more of this. Yay! Trying it a bit stronger, 1.5 teaspoons of leaves to the cup, and it’s working out really well. Every aspect of it is just that little bit more, and still a great taste.

This is a “black” oolong. I usually prefer the “green” oolongs, but I really liked this tea. It’s smooth and a little smoky, with some interesting things going on with the flavour in the aftertaste. Steeped for one minute in water just below boiling point.

Only half a teaspoon of this left, so… I made half a cup. g

Back to the usual brewing method and this one’s working very nicely again. I’ve been drinking this one throughout the day and my not-very-well body has been appreciating the hits of antioxidants.

This is an excellent Dragonwell. Brewed at 70C for two minutes.

Mmm. Great tea. My sample’s almost gone, so I’ve just ordered a full packet. Definitely a tea to keep on hand.

Back to this one today. This time I brewed it in my pottery infuser mug. Mistake! The flavours come through much clearer when brewed in a tea pot and drunk from a porcelain cup.

Another fruit flavoured tea success. This really seems to be the week for it. The peach flavour smells and tastes exactly like white peaches and, while it’s strong enough that you can’t miss it, it’s also not strong to the point of overpowering the other elements of the tea. Just lovely.

Great tea. First and second steepings were perfect. Currently on the third, and it’s still very good, very smooth, but not as sweet and floral as the earlier steepings. Contemplating a fourth…
